I like line6 products ,i have a pod xt live,and i think the m9 and m13 are very very good ...but if you are so lucky to be rich,the axe -fx ultra is the best!! ps probably the hd500 it will cost 3 or 4 time less than axe-fx ultra,and for sure ,anyway will be a very good compromise...probably!!

is pod hd comes up with vocals, bass etc.. effects?

I am just wandering if they have resolved the dynamics of sounds like Amplitude 3.If you play softer the sounds is softer(less gain).

I heard it from the other video that this PODHD is 10x better that the old POD's? Which POD? XT/X3 or the original POD? Will it be upgradeable exta Amp/Bass/Mic Preamp models?

I've been a Line 6 fan for quite awhile. But is this going to stand up against the Axe Fx? Sure the Axe is more expensive, but the amp models and touch dynamics are amazing. If the amp models on this can't compete with the Axe I think I'm going to keep saving...

I had a chance to listen to and play around with the POD HD 300 at one of the local music stores and it really is an awesome device. I love the fact that now you have true bypass where you can use primarily the stomp box features and you don't have to use the amp models if you don't need to. Have not had a chance to play with the 400 or 500 yet. I have been strongly looking at the Line 6 M13 but I will take a look at the HD's more.

Line 6 went back to the drawing board and made the amazing discovery that y = ax + b

After a few days with this piece of machine, i must say , as i also mention in a videoresponse earlier it has another toneapproach that i cant express correct by a musical term. But it has a core in the sound that makes it fun and the creativity on top. The effects are a step further from previous POD´s. However still working with the metalsounds they working really good but much to do left. It comes an new videoresponse with more metalinfluences :-) So great job L6 ! Cheers!

Like, I end every sentence with "right," right? Right because in the end, it's not about what I say but how I say it, right? This technology still lags behind the newest versions of Amplitube and Guitar Rig, but believe what you want.

@OperationPaybackTV Yes however certain effects use more DSP than others so that’s something you need to be aware of when creating your patches. The Smart Harmony tracks better than any "whammy" type effect we have ever modeled. It still will not track chords very well. @ffooxx20b That's one of the things our engineers really focused on improving in the POD HD. The dynamics are much more responsive then with any other POD we have developed.

@RichardA5150 The HD500 can run effect spillover within a dual tone patch between tones 1 and 2 but not between different presets.

@trochezsteel Yes but currently there is only 1 vocal effect (Vocoder) in the HD500.

@futurefields So have you played through a pod HD? I have not, and the biggest issue has always been with the tactile aspect when it comes to modeling. If this new hd product can give that "fat-spongy-plexi-thud" then it has won me over.

Great piece of equipment you got here guys! But one of my main questions is this: will there be software updates in the foreseeable future for it, adding more amps or effects? like you did with the x3?

Can a pod hd500 be used through a spider iv 30w amp? and if it can, how would i do that? Can i also record with the pod hd500?

At first I was into the Boss GT10, but it never sounded right to me, then I was introduced to the Line6 pods, and it blew me away. This is the way it's suppose to sound man. Line 6 nailed it big time. This video is so inspirational.

@xMAPxJosh You can simply dial in a clean tone on the Spider and then connect the POD's 1/4" output to the guitar input on the Spider. You can record via USB connection directly with the POD HD500 straight to a recording application on your computer.

Couple days ago new POD HD firmware 1.20 appeared, awesome firmware, i'm so glad, sounds MUCH better then old one! If some one want to listen it before install I got samples on my page

I hated this thing when I first bought it along with my PRS McCarty and Vox AC 15. I must say, however, I LOVE this thing now. Anyone who likes tone and loves vintage and expensive amps, but can't afford the money or, for me, space it takes to own them all....go with this product. I'm a tone brat. I played a Schecter 80s model, thru a Fender Bassman head before I switched to PRS, Vox and...most importantly Line 6...keep up the good work. I wish I had given your amps more consideration.

I have one question: does anybody know how the POD HD sounds on a drive channel of my amp? I mean if I'd just like to boost the gain or add some other efects...

@TherapyHiccup yes definitely!

@boorak18 without telling us what kind of amp you have that's a tough question but that's pretty much exactly what the POD is supposed to be used for. It's very flexible in that you don't HAVE to use any amp modeling on it. You can simply create a tone with a distortion stomp or even a boost+EQ effect.

So, with the pedal you can quickly change between different tones on your computer? If, then i'm so buying this.

I LOVE LINE 6 !!! POD HD 500 is the real thing for a guitarrist without money to pay for all that equipment. Was love a first sigth. Ear BTW hehehehe ;)

I'll always love the whole amp/effects modeling technology that spawned. It really does help get a great tone, or use an amp's tone at an affordable level.

Are there Pre Amps for the Vocals in the POD HD Desktop? I used to use the POD FARM with my UX-1, but had alot of problems when I tried it on my iMac,

2014...: no HD plungin, no way to reamp like X3 or XT...a lot of ingener on this video ,so ?

Vetta II head owner, and HD500 owner. Used HD500 on European tour, worked a treat. Use Vetta at local gigs. I did clinics for you guys out here in Oz 150 years ago. Still diggin' it!

Any demo for Bassist? I cant see any specific product for bass at line6.
