I just picked this game up again after more than 10 years and created monk for my new playthrough. Discovered the channel a few weeks ago and was sad to see that after the ranger you seemed to have discontinued the series. And now this! :D Amazing!

With my monk I like to play as a Strike As One beast master with Smite Condition and Strength of Honor. It's in the "fun" category but a buffed pet can still do serious damage.

Ive had to start playing monk latley because i just take too much damage

For me who have a great experience as a healer, I never leave without an absorption shield in combo with the seed, it is too important, the only error of your presentation in my opinion and in case you do not have no ST in your team, the protective spirit is also essential with a build of heal . and to manage you energy , the auspiciou incantation is the ultimate solution in combo with group healing if you heal cycle is optimized , apart from that the presentation is good, sry i'm french but its my opinion

I just came back to the game not to long ago and just started a monk, going through all the first 3 campaings started with NF (need heroes since not enough players and henchies suck). got a really good hero set up and they do the majority of the work lol. still wanna figure out something good for my monk though

PS: Vaettir Farm with Monk 55 HP: there is a moment i take 5 dmg for some reason and shadow form is still up, don't know why. Any idea? Did GW did something to make this farm impossible?

Listen, you need to perfect a plain, ol' boring American English accent—let's face it: American accents are, for the most part, bland and boring (compared, at least to the British accent). looking for the meta monk build for pvp if you have any info on that?

Missed WoH builds. Which i still use today.

Monk was the first class I tried playing in GW1 way back when I first picked up Factions. I personally did not find it an enjoyable class to play, and quickly jumped to playing Ranger and Ritualist instead. I'm sure it is probably way more fun than I gave it credit for, but I haven't gotten around to giving it another shot.

Light of deliverance used to be popular during nightfall as it would heal entire team for about 100 every 6 seconds, 1 second cast time, then the meta shifted to Healers Boon, which seems to have fallen out of fashion though it still seems to be quite a strong one. Aura of faith is interesting, its a prot elite skill but just casting it heals the target for about 80, as will any subsequent prot skills within 3 seconds, thats more than Mhenlos Orison of Healing.

If you were to make a build with the anniversary hammer and anniversary elite, how would that even look like? I see you use it with the old dagger spam instead. I gotta say the idea of a Paladin using hammer and holy magic does seem appealing, but there don't seem to be that many good skills for it..

played warrior/monk energy sucks reg sucks, so now i play monk/warrior this also give me healing breeze divine favour and generally seems good for a tank/paladin build

Thanks for making this, played a lot of Guild Wars just to see the history of GW2 but I've always wanted to make a monk and really get to know the class, so here we go!

For healers is better have energy and hp than armor ?

Hey Peter, maybe 10+ years ago I used to run people through CoF with my monk. I think it was a 55hp build. I can’t find a video or this build anymore. Do you have a 55hp build for monk to solo CoF? It might have been 600hp monk but I hear they got the nerf bat.

No reference to one of my favorite monk builds? When using an offensive hex team strategy, spread Defender's Zeal with Scourge Healing/Enchantment and/or any other hexes from a secondary class. DZ funds the energy demand, no need to invest in Divine Favor, especially nice as a Necromancer 2nd to use Necrosis. I likely favor pressure tactics more than most.
