You can't understand what is cast system you don't know ground reality of uppercass we don't have any power you know what is reservation system if you have 99% marks but your form upper cast then you don't deserve any job this is caste system ground reality in India my friend had 88% marks in 12th non medical but he didn't get admission because due to reservation system one guy with 36 % marks got admission we face this in jobs and everywhere this is right ?

As a westerner I was always baffled by the caste system in India until one day I asked an Indian how one can identify an upper caste person from a lower caste person? He said, "Simple! All have 2 balls. Upper castes have 1 extra".

1)Chinese scholar Hieun Tsang, who visited India in 630 AD , writes that, “Brahminism dominated the country, caste ruled the social structure and the persons following unclean occupations like butchers, scavengers had to live outside the city”.
2) Alberuni who visited india in 1000s wrote
They ( Brahmin) don’t ‘allow the Veda to be committed to writing’ because it must be ‘recited according to certain modulations’. They teach it to the Kshatriyas, but the Vaishyas, Shudras and the outcastes ‘are not allowed to hear it, much less to pronounce and recite it. If such a thing can be proved against one of them, the Brahmins drag him before the magistrate, and he is punished by having his tongue cut ’.
3) The "breast tax" (or Mulakkaram in Malayalam) was a head tax imposed on the Nadars, Ezhavars and other lower caste communities by the Kingdom of Tranvancore (in present-day Kerala state of India). According to local beliefs the breast tax was imposed on lower class women if they covered their breasts.

Caste is not decided randomly as you said in beginning, but by birth.
But this is created by upper caste people called brahmins caste (priest) and kshatriya (warrior caste). So they could use lower caste people to do their dirty jobs. These lazy upper caste assholes restricted the lower caste to go school and temples and didn't even let them walk in upper caste streets.
But this is not what written in Hindu Religious Scriptures. Almighty Supreme God Krishna himself said in holy Book Bhagwad Geeta that Caste was decided by a person's work and qualities, not by birth. And everyone should have right to decide whether they want become priest to spread the religion and peace in society, or to become Kshatriya to fight and protect the society etc.
So please don't criticize Hinduism, because hinduism is the greatest, oldest and most beautiful religion in the world. It is the people, who makes things worse.
