Reducing The Size Of IKEA Lack Floating Shelf - Can It Be Done?

What else do you think I can use instead of that cutting tool you used to trim out the inside a bit ? I’m about to do this project in couple days I’m nervous but I wanna do it I just don’t have that last cutting tool you used. Is there any alternative? Thank you

I brought these outdoor shelves from Ikea they're called the tordh shelves. However, they're too big for my space so I'm thinking to reduce their size. Originally they hold about 53 lbs, if I reduce the size to half will they be able to hold at least 26 lbs without any problem?

Is there anything else I could use to make the bracket flush at the back

Having cut the material ....could I cut the end of one off to shorten the length from 74in to 71 in? The end wouldn’t be exposed to the eye. The shelf will be mounted between 2 walls. Or does the material look messy on the end when cut?

Has not effected the strength?

Need to cut down either the Linnmon or Malm table top.. like you, the depth needs trimming..

I want to try to cut down the small lack shelves but they have a different fixing mechanism to the wall. Can it be done? And how will I fix them afterwards?
