TOWER OF GOD Season 2 Cut Content – What Happened To Baam & What Did The Anime Change? EPISODE 1 - 3

Rachel is scum. If you go in the dictionary and look up the word scum, there will be a picture of Rachel right next to it.

I’m really conflicted on season 2. It feels more coherent and they actually take time to have some better pacing for the plot, but the fights have been a huge disappointment for the most part. I’ve read most of the webtoon and waiting all these years for an, “eehhhhh” adaptation is just sad.

Please just read the webtoon instead of watching the anime, it’s free and supports the author.

Edit: So I went back and looked at the fights in the webtoon. Most of the problems with the fights in season 2 is the directing. Episode 8 in particular. The fight shows everything that was in the webtoon, but it explains nothing and the camera angles are completely different after the initial attack leaving you even more confused.

As an anime viewer, I was just so confused as to why I had to learn these new set of characters and I felt that even thought the anime apparently didn't leave out too much, it felt like a tiny bit of monologue was left out which were needed to round out these characters

It's been 7 episodes and I still feel like I need to trust the process and let the new characters develop themselves a bit. I think just as you said how this new season of climbing through the 20th floor is like us going through our 20s, nothing too remarkable as happened but we should just let things simmer and all these characters will come into fruition.

I rly enjoyed this video, it helped make sense of the season since not much was really explained. Season 1 was still better, season 2 animation ESPECIALLY during fight scenes was atrocious. They made it pretty clear they were working on a budget. Hope season 3 is better, again thanks for explaining things so clearly.

Season 2 SUCKS... it started off episode for the first couple episodes and then went downhill extremely fast...

Agh. This is bringing back memories of how many fail at climbing at a certain point. I forgot how dark ToG could get until it showed the bird dead from poisoning. I forgot some of the characters (the medic/wave controller that poisoned the bird) were absolute psychopaths and that many of the tower inhabitants were pure evil.

I love the perspective shift from season 1’s high class regulars to season 2’s middle class. When watching season 1, you don’t really grasp just how powerful these characters are compared to the rest in the tower because the story is viewed from their perspective. But in season 2, you get characters like Robdevil who reference Hatz as a god-like enemy

Oh so I wasn’t tripping. I read it during Covid but this season is just super mid, the animation is trash most of the time and the fights are honestly wack. Might just give it a reread and drop the anime

I remember there was this one post on twitter where SIU pointed out Khun as his least favorite character purely because he's so smart that it's difficult to write the story without it progressing too quickly. (SPOILER AHEAD)














and he did admit that being his motivation for killing khun off so often in the story

Season one felt like a beautiful adventure with fascinating trials and mystery season 2 felt like i was watching EastEnders in anime with poor animation and a bunch of characters i don't care about felt like if i didn't read the webtoon i should go fuck myself none of these characters make me want to root for them at all.

it degraded from peak anime to TRASH

skip content is forgivable if there's a compensation = good animation, etc. the animation in this series is bad. and people want more webtoons/manhwa to be adapted into anime to get ruined like this. i don't. i say don't adapt more into anime.

I loved season 2 just as much as season 1. And how tf you say they didnt leave much out? Adapted 100 chapter in a few episodes then went about 3-4 chapters per episode after that. Seems they skipped a lot.
