Answer: Because this game is fucking bullshit. I've replayed too many games to know this game bases outcomes on fucking words in a press conference - over and over. A good team should not repeatedly lose to a worse team. I replay the same games over and over and I make sure to say the right things so players are all motivated/inspired. Still, having all motivated players and a better squad will lose repeatedly to an inferior opponent because the game fucking cheats. It's not tactics for all you meatheads. If it was tactics my team wouldn't be in a such a position in the standings in the first place. Tactics don't stop working if they work for 95% of the season. That's not how sports work. Tactics that work and a superior opponent are variable to lose, but not repeatedly. If you sim 5 games and far inferior opponent, you should win at least four. There no logic to losing three or four in a row to the same inferior squad. The odds of that are astronomical and that is why this game is scripted bullshit. Also, entire team is "fresh" with very little fatigue. hahaha I just decided to sim another game. Another ZERO in the score column, another loss, another match with a higher expected goal, but still another FUCKING LOSS. FUCK THIS BULLSHIT. This is the last game of the season. My team is playing for the league title. The opponent has lost four in a row. Yes, they are at home, but this is still fucking bullshit. My team has high morale and they are all inspired and motivated. THIS IS FUCKING HOT GARBAGE.

I don't have Chelsea syndrome with my big squads because I have zero issues selling a player (for above his value). I have no more than two players over 25 on the first team and none over 27. My squads are usually 32-35 players, with about 15 also playing for the Under-whatever or B team.

I'm never sentimental because players in FM are morons (and have been since FM17 from what I recall). If I'm a player with a positive personality (Pro, model Pro, model citizen, etc) turning out for every game, playing Champions League football with my mates (excellent cohesion, excellent atmosphere) into the late stages of the competition, I'd have zero interest in moving to PSG or Chelsea or Man City (where I know I will be misused, if I'm used at all). But nope! Every season, I get someone who gets annoyed because I turned down a lowball offer from a "bigger club". So I pump up the price and sell them. Three seasons later, they're transfer listed after playing less than two dozen games over three years (or being sent on loan every season, never to a team in the Champions League). We're not talking some club in a backwater like Poland (no offense) but in top 5 leagues (Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga).

I used to be really lazy on contract negotiations - recently I’ve put a lot more effort into adding bonuses for top scorer / landmark goals + assists / limiting appearance fees / adding super low relegation release clauses and you can keep the wage demands way down and stretch your budget so much further

I don't like buying in the transfers windows. Out of the windows gives you the time to unsettle the player and bring the asking price way down if the target is very interested in joining. Selling is best in the windows though

Im fm 21 my cm could dribble bring the ball out and run with the ball but in 23 he dont do any of that stuff its just pass and pass its all my midfielders and wingers do is just pass how do I get them to dribble

Players values usually is at its lowest around last 2 weeks of March and first 2 weeks of April. If you want to buy an expensive player its the perfect time as his value can drop easily to +10m.

Have a team full of superstar wonderkids that constantly moan about starting games and they are all at my door wanting loan moves 😀. It's very difficult to keep everyone happy but this game is so addictive 👌 😀.

I've been playing with a squad of around 30 players for years now, never had any problems as long as registration rules allow it. Especially in fm23 where fitness is more of an issue and I rotate heavily, for example during congested schedule I'll have my first 11 play CL, my second 11 in the league with 3rd stringers on the bench. I think as long as it works financially and registration wise it's perfectly fine to have more than 25 players in the team, not 50 obviously, but around 28-30 is really not that big of a deal.

when you renew contract to your player during season, you can have the option that the new contract will start at the end of the season and not immediately. I discovered that a bit later :)

The mistake to avoid I'd suggest is to negotiate contract renewals with an agent before making an offer, and if possible also when you're trying to sign them.

Negotiations become EXTREMELY inflexible if you do that, you cannot get anything below what they initially want, not to mention that sometimes they'll ask MORE than what was initially discussed.
