I am trying to figure this out. I had a traumatic brain injury when I drove a tractor trailer, but I did not do any more. I am done Pennsylvania, it's warmer Southerner. First, to get what I want, Ford Transit 350 HR Cargo AWD. But as I said, my speech is all messed up.
ОтветитьHi Nate, I built my camper with your wiring diagram and it works perfect. My camper is parked in front of my house when not used and the batteries are allways full. I was wondering how I can put the solar power back in my house to use it and not going to waste. I have also PV panels installed on my roof by the way. Best Sander
ОтветитьFYI, it’s 120v, not 110v 🤦♂️
ОтветитьI am in the planning stage of a DIY overland/expedition vehicle, the habitat will be 100% electric. I will have 5 kw of solar panels on the roof in a double stack where one set of panels slides out from under a fixed set. I am planning on a 30,000 Wh LiFePO battery bank, 6 - SOK 48v 100Ah batteries. I have several 220v loads I need to run, one 14.4 kw electric tankless water heater, a second 10kw electric tankless water heater with circulator pump for radiant in-floor space heating, an electric incinerator toilet that uses 2kw per cycle, a mini-split air con unit, a washer/dryer combo, and possibly a 220v dishwasher. I would likely have to run two loads at once such as the air con unit and washer/dryer or cycle the incinerator toilet or the tankless water heater and washer/dryer at the same time. My question is what would be the best choice for an inverter(s)? I was thinking about a 48v 15,000 watt Victron Quatro, but I also though that 15k is just barely over my largest load of 14.4kw and that it might be advantageous to have more inverter power for a second 220v load and other 110v loads like the induction cooktop or a 110v dishwasher if I chose that vs a 220v model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
ОтветитьQuestion: If you don't have a preinstalled solar panel port on your rv (aka: a place to plug in a non fixed solar panel) can you use your trailer wiring harness as a port?
ОтветитьWhat about transfer switches? Did I miss it? I'm picking up my new camper today. It has a factory installed Onan generator. I assume it has an automatic transfer switch. The unit doesn't have solar but I will upgrade this at some point. How would that work? Do you daisy chain two transfer switches?
ОтветитьIncredibly efficient and to the point! Great job.
ОтветитьNeed a simple (BOM/Equipment List) Thanks.
ОтветитьI’m an electrician so I understand the wire sizes. I’m just trying to determine what I need for a basic set up. I have 2-100 w solar panels and looking to get another two later and I have a PWM controoler but it came with the panel. I’ll upgrade to MPPT controller
ОтветитьI have a question so i have a eg4 3kw inverter its 48v not instead of a down converter i want add one 200ah 12v battery now thay being said i have one string of solar panels and built in charge controller how could i charge that 12v battery cheapest
ОтветитьI got a new one for you if your interested... installing solar into popup camper.. should be easy for you. Also the panel should be ground places and can disconnect when moving the camper...
ОтветитьIs DC to DC charger sufficient to protect the main battery from auxiliary lithium solar battery (when engine is off) and can replace battery isolator?
ОтветитьExplained everything i needed to know 👏👏"Bravo" 🤝
ОтветитьHello just found your channel. I am going to set up my own power off grid. I wonder I have two 100w solar power panels from ecoflow I was going to buy a ecoflow . But as they are expensive I thought I would just have a go at setting up my own power 🫣 thank you
ОтветитьI really needed this information thank you!
ОтветитьHi Nate, I purchased and installed your electrical layout using your guide. I am adding a truck AC, and am not sure where to connect. I have solar, inverter, dc distribution and alternator charger using all 4 ports on Victron distributor. I can add a separate fuse, but not sure where to connect. Batteries?
ОтветитьWow fast moving with lots of information, just what I needed for understanding how it all goes together. glad i found this. Very personable, somebody you just immediately like.
ОтветитьWhere is the parts list and wiring diagram ?
ОтветитьToo many questions. Liked, subscribed…I’ll watch more before I ask questions but really cool subject and you’re getting onto lots of stuff I don’t remember much about lol
ОтветитьAmazing content do you do anything for 220v or 230v as the UK
