Wondering if anyone has had experience in swimming and shower with it?
ОтветитьSadly, I disagree. The only thing that stops me from agreeing with you is the stem. I’ve not owned a Timex analog watch that held on to it’s stem more than a few days. I’m old so I can’t see digital watches’ digits very well but I found a Timex, an Atlantis 100, on the ground at a landfill about 15 years ago that is my favorite beater. One thing I have to say about Timex is they will replace their watches that fail or give a discount on a replacement. I have returned several for replacement. One other thing is water resistance. I have not had a 30 meter rated watch leak. I wear my watches in the shower, pool, and ocean. In salt water, I would wear a 30 meter watch when snorkeling. I know this kind of wear is beyond the factory specs but a field watch must by definition survive and thrive in the bush.
ОтветитьMy god this watch is audible throughout the video 😂
ОтветитьSeptember 18,2023 watch now $66.00. 3 times more expensive
ОтветитьAre they still available?
ОтветитьI guess you would be totally against
The Accutron spaceview 214 models with the constant humming.
Nice watch, personally I went with the Lorus Lumibrite, you get a 100m water resist and that insane lumibrite dial, my one is almost a decade old and is still looking great.
ОтветитьThank you for posting this helpful video
ОтветитьA nice looking watch. I really like wearing a good field watch and have quite a few of them from other brands. At around this price point though I can recommend the field watches from Lorus. The Lumibrite version at £29.99 here in the UK has mineral glass and is very slim on the wrist and has 100M water resistance. The Lumibrite watch face however is just as good as this Timex but also has the day/date complication. My Lorus came on a fabric strap but because it felt quite flimsy I put it on a good leather strap. Nice video though and would maybe add this Timex to my collection in the future. I have a Hamilton Khaki King field watch with a day/date and it's totally worth the price I paid for it, the only downside being the water resistance down to 50M from 100M but the upside being the sapphire crystal and the increased power reserve 80 hours.
ОтветитьHard to say as there were so many models on the market by Timex
ОтветитьDo you know where to get this in the actual MacGyver color scheme anymore?
I have this watch. I don't understand what he means by the noise. I have never even noticed the noise on this watch.
ОтветитьThat's a shame about the noise. Got the same issue with Swatch watches. Not an issue I've ever had with even the cheapest Casio.
ОтветитьAny leads on where to find one of these in 2023? Not sure I can make myself buy a khaki field after finding this
ОтветитьNice if they would of had a black nato
Ответитьcool video and the dome is interesting for Crystal… But what gets me about Timex is why so much glow-in-the-dark when it has the fun feature INDIGLO … and I mean fun it's so cool.… I hope that glow stuff is not radioactive I heard some was
ОтветитьI guess MacGyver never swam. Those who swim check out Timex Expedition Camper or Expedition Scout.
ОтветитьNice watch.
ОтветитьI used this exact watch for years in the military in field environments. Great watch. Where can you buy it now? Amazon is out.
ОтветитьThese do look nice, but I just get annoyed by the way the second hand bounces when it stops. Casio can make a cheap, quiet watch that doesn't do that.
ОтветитьThe quartz line vs the automatic of seiko is a little pushing it....
ОтветитьWish it was 34 or 36mm.
ОтветитьThis guy can talk man !
ОтветитьCant seem to find this anywhere can you share the link for India?
ОтветитьI have the Timex expedition scout solar; the tick sound is non existent.
ОтветитьI would buy it.
ОтветитьTry behind the wrist bone, much more comfortable.
ОтветитьMy dressier Timex 42 mm T2P219 has 100 m water resistance but then its more expensive and its basically an oversized camper with a leather strap. You can’t go wrong with the design - been around practically forever and its the classic field watch. Nothing else Timex has made is like this icon in their collection. Simple and rugged which is why MacGyver always wore it.
ОтветитьI like that watch a lot. Wish it was still that price. $100 on Amazon.
ОтветитьGreat model! Love the vintage look and nato strap
I would buy 5 in US or Europe
Here in Brazil this cost R$ 600,00 (reais) it s ridiculous
Can anyone tell me what is the case material please? Is it stainless steel or brass?
ОтветитьI just checked the Amazon link and now it's 99.99 in Canada.
Ответитьbeautifil watch!
ОтветитьThe steel chronograph has 50m water resistance for some reason
ОтветитьVery good video, we are watch manufactuer from china, if you want buy watches, pls do not hesitate to follow up my yutube, I will introduce our new models everyday.
ОтветитьAluminium is a poison not good to wear this on your wrist.
ОтветитьThe seiko deliberately tries to be even smaller with that concentric circle because not all watches are designed to cater to the desires and wants of the giant Western Man. Timex, on the other hand is an American brand
ОтветитьThanks for remembering MacGyver. Brings back wonderful memories of the tv series. I wore one of these watches before. Absolutely timeless design in whatever color. Yours is a nice color as well. New on your channel. Liked & Subscribed. More power to your channel. God bless.
ОтветитьI have an 8" wrist and I find anything smaller than 40mm is too small. That's what steered me from the Seiko. I'm thinking about this one for a weekender.
ОтветитьSeems to be unavailable in Australia. I like the way Timex watches look, but honestly they are cheap pieces of cr@p. Better save up for a Hamilton.
ОтветитьVery comftable to wear..the indiglo is a bonus..though the lum is long lasting..very simple..durable..classic watch..I have one in black..one of my favorite features in this watch is the dome glass..love it..
ОтветитьI’m a sucker for dome too bro
ОтветитьI have the original mechanical version which was bought back in the 80s. The new one I bought (black version) cost me SGD150! (Singapore dollars) Timex prices are crazy here!
ОтветитьI have the stainless steel version. I like it very much but in real life I don’t feel that it is that close to the original MacGyver watch because of the larger diameter. I had several field watches between 36 and 38mm sizes but this one with it’s 40mm size feels quite different for me even if the design is the same. I like it’s loud clicking, for me it is a positive :)
ОтветитьThe price is now over $70... thanks Biden.
ОтветитьDude, i like your hairstyle.
ОтветитьDo you think it could work on a six inch wrist?
ОтветитьThe Noise is unreal. Hate that. Won't buy a Timex ever again.
