I work on several tractors, and the parts prices on John Deere have went through the roof, they rape you at the parts counter, and watch the electronics, it breaks down it's gonna cost big. The one that impressed me has been the Kioti, bought one 29 years ago and it will out live me. Seen several issues with Kubota loaders and ring and pinions on the hydrostatic models.

CaseIH, New Holland, and Steiger brands are owned by CNH Industrial, which is owned by Stellantis. Some of the low-end models may be re-branded but all the high-end models are made by CNH and have Fiat motors.

I’ve been pulled by a John Deere 790 for a hayride, it ain’t had a loader. I liked that hayride but I’m band so I can’t experience the 790 anymore

Honestly I really like the 1025r and the 1023e, the problem with them is their transmissions. There's a very common problem with them leaking. Which takes about 20 hours to fix. This happens because they don't use gaskets, they use liquid loctite sealer. I'm not kidding about 5 out of 10 of them leak withing the first 100 hours or so. Just be very careful and always be looking for leaks so you can get it fixed before your warranty expires.

Diesel talk about the best is Yamaha u is so wrong I hate to tell you sir you are so wrong the little John Deere tractor still got Yamaha motor n them the compact tractor John Deere.. if u sell tractor like u say u do u should Kno the compact john deers tractor still got Yamaha motor n them even n 2023 don't blive me call any John Deere dealer n a new Yamaha last 10 to 15 yrs the only tractor I would have is a Yamaha diesal..why buy a John Deere if it got a Yamaha motor n it just buy a Yamaha..is u sure u sell tractor.

I've been working on a lot of tractors last 10 years. The only way I would own a Kubota is if I'm about to resell it. I do like the John Deere, they are solid hard-working tractors. But they are way overpriced. When people ask me what tractor I'll suggest 30 horsepower and up. That would be a Branson. They are strong solid tractors and a whole lot cheaper than John Deere

No Kubota ever belongs on a "worst tractor" list... ever. Best Tractors on the market by far. John Deere's are over-hyoed garbage.

Lol I have a John Deere 790 with a loader and a woods backhoe and a snow blower in awesome shape. 790 is a great machine made out of metal not plastic.

Why can't john deere make their own reliable diesel engines?

Ill take my 1951 Farmall Super C over any new tractor. No loader but it plants soybeans, works land, and shes got the f*cking power despite lacking a bellhousing bolt because it has a combine motor. Its old but I know shell outpull, outwork, and outlive any new tractor.

Whether or not you need a loader depends on what you’re doing, and your budget. I ended up for going a front in loader and as a result with my same budget I was able to get a much bigger and stronger tractor. The main use I bought my tractor for was grading a quarter mile long dirt driveway. Had I got a much smaller tractor with a front and loader it never would’ve done the job, for example that rinky-dink little John Deere 1025. So in my case I’m very happy without it but I’m not saying that they aren’t useful it’s just a matter of. What do you need and how much money do you have.

Never buy a Dear John, they're anti consumer and don't want you to be able to fix YOUR own shit. There's probably other companies in on it but John Deere is the main one.

U wrong guy Yamaha motor is n the compact john deers tractor even the new one 2023 u can't beat a Yamaha diesal they are the best tractor around n the only one I would have they guarantee to last over more than twenty yrs Japan made.

As long as a tractor can be repaired by the owner with any part they want is a good tractor.

I recently got a JD 1026R with loader/backhoe. Before this I had used a Kubota loader/backhoe and did numerous projects, including building a road over a 4 x 20 ft culvert across a creek and up the hill on my acreage. The JD is newer and in much better shape. But I could never have used it the way I did the Kubota. It is way too slow. In fact my other little 2 cyl. diesel Kubota, a BX1500 loader/lawn tractor is even better than the JD. Why? The JD cannot lift and curl at the same time? Are they all like this? Why did no one ever mention that in all the comparison videos?

Just purchased a 2004 new Holland tc30 what’s your opinion on those?

I bought a 7040 LS, the dealer was about 40 minutes away. He has since quit carrying and servicing LS and the nearest dealer now is over 2 hours away. My recommendation, only buy large brands that have been around a long time.

I have a 2022 bad boy 4035…I use it for my garden mowing and post drilling…zero issues.
Was skeptical but zero issues so far.

The real issue with the old-style tractors is they have no gear low enough for a tiller, probably do not have a 3 point (it was a Ford patent well into the '50s), and IF they have hydraulics they will be very low flow and pressure (basically just intended for the 3point lift).
And for something slick like the Farmal l 140 some fool has sent all of the special attachments to the scrapper, and without them its just another basic pulling tractor.
The issue with new tractors, other than unwanted "features", is they are sold with industrial tires and swapping them for ag tread(or turf tread) and beet juice is a few thousand dollars.
