Connect with Ansible via an SSH Proxy

It is not uncommon to use Ansible for automating hosts in a protected network. In fact, if you have ever taken Red Hat training courses, then you are probably quite familiar with the bastion pattern. The SSH proxy host, or bastion as it's often referred, acts as a secure gateway to an internal network with limited access. The bastion is designed to minimize the attack surface for malicious actors by running only the services needed to provide a functional gateway. In this post, I am going to describe a custom Credential Type you can use in conjunction with your Ansible configuration to automate through a bastion.
