she did say there was an disc in it

only found out after i give back to her

the dics got stuck so she tryed the screw to get it out vut she herad 3 cliks when do it

now it not taken in disc at all or read there one in there

tryed clean the disc drive out but the rollers are good

i cant rember how i fix it last time it happen

Could you try something like liquid metal and screw insert for something like the first switch.. Or have you tried that and failed..? Have used similar method for cars which holds and in areas that are way more abused..

For the break even point, is your labor included in that estimation? If it's not, then you are actually losing money since labor has a cost. Granted that is a roll of the dice on lots like that, but my view would be that if you have to depend on selling 10 out of 13 to break even just on purchase costs then it's not worthwhile from a business perspective.

Dude... capacitors shouldn't have continuity from one side to the other out of circuit. So if you measure an open accross a capacitor on a bad board where, on a good board, there is continuity, another component has failed. Don't waste your time swapping capacitors in such a situation.

Hey guys how do you remove a stripped screw from the switch? I've seen people take a small Dremel and make a cut in the screw to take it out that way but I don't have one that small so is there another way to remove the stripped screw? All I wanted to do was replace my stand on the back plate and I stripped one of the screws.

Ive found on USB-C ports, shaving down a wooden toothpick slight with a razor knife and cleaning them out works amazing. My roommate bought a whole knew USB-C connector for his phone, i spent two minutes cleaning it, works amazing.

I dont know if you've got kids, but if you do, simply have them test the switches out. They'll let you know right away if something is off. Sometimes problems don't show up until the console is throttled.

How is "replacing parts" not repairing something?
In almost all situations repairing comes with replacing a part that has gone bad.

Sorry to say that but I think its not worth the money + effort.
With the Dollar-Yen rate + tax free you could have bought 9+ complete switches with joycons in Japan.

You may have the perfect amount of thermal paste...but youre severely lacking on flux. Watch any of Luis Rossmans repairs to see the PROPER amount of flux. 😂

Can you do a repair of a dualsense controller.
I've 2 each with its own issue.
On the first the down button on the d pad doesn't work
And on the second the X button doesn't work.

Why are those “returns” so dirty?

filing down a few mils off the screw post you glued back (on one of the joycons) could help the case close the rest of the way. I've found the joycon cases to be very sensitive to minor differences in screw post heights, so accounting for the additional super glue under it could help the fit.
