Hey Johnny , I see you got a JC Penny , that will be the next to go . I hope you didn't run into that guard again , your living on the edge Johnny .
ОтветитьHey Johnny , I watched the video again and i didn't see many people in the mall it looks dead as a door nail .
ОтветитьObama's Yes we can!!
ОтветитьThat Sears sucked anyway
ОтветитьAnd the saddest part is that 7 more stores have closed since this video was shot in January.
ОтветитьI grew up here. Lived here for 22 yrs. And for years have resided in NJ. I miss home very much. It must be a NNYer thing. I Remember being at the mall when it opened and how exciting it was for us Massena folk :) Now, you could just about shoot a cannon off through it and prob wouldn't hit a living soul. Jeesh!
ОтветитьHey. The way I see it, Don't want your town to look bad, then get off your butt and do something about it. You can't blame others for it. Massena has turned into a retirement community and offers nothing today for kids. That's terrible in my opinion. No wonder the kids get into such trouble. Massena ought to be ashamed of this especially. What does it tel you when all your youth wants to move away?
ОтветитьDebs bath and body and express are gone too.
ОтветитьI've spent a part of my childhood in that mall and it's pretty sad to see what is now. I remembered that there was an Ames store which became Steve and Barry's for a short time where it is a wall now. The carrousel used to be at the front entrance along with Aladdin's castle. You were right that there was a TJ Maxx at the other end of the mall. Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to the mall in ages.
ОтветитьHi Johnny, I used to go to this mall back in 91 or 92 a lot with my recently departed sister - so there are a lot of memories for me - sure appreciate you filming the mall - don't know why security gets upset with you - watching your video makes me want to go back which is good for business, right?. And it's not like you are being disrespectful or anything like that - heck, it's like you are making a documentary about the history of the place which is awesome in my books :)
I remember there used to be a dollar store there - is it still there or do you know when it closed? That was my sister's favorite store! Actually, I don't even remember exactly when the mall first opened - do you? Any info you have on that would be much appreciated. I do remember going into the mall for the first time back in the early 90s - it was great - the carousel and all the stores and lots of people and kids - kinda sad to see how it is now, but like you say, that is reality and the truth of what it is like now, for better or worse - you are doing good, not bad - take care and thanks again - Chris
hey are rc helicopter's
ОтветитьI used to shop there in college in 94 to 96! So many memories there with my friends.
ОтветитьThanks you for this wonderful video, I'm incorporating this into our lesson plan "how capitalist killed the world". Why sharia will once rule the world. We feel terrible for the resident but soon you will be filled with refugees like here in Ohio, Where we live in Ohio, its like our home in Syria but with power, running water, police to protect us. Thank you American for giving us your country. We are thankful, thank you ALLA.
ОтветитьI have watched all your vids, what do you do for living? Are you refugee like me?
Ответитьyou should use a gopro so much more concealable. can you get a newer one, I have lesson next month and would like to use it. Like before and after, or after and really after.
ОтветитьMy personal opinion it’s not that scary to me but the haunted house they had were sears is isn’t there anymore but next to sears is now a bounce house but I personally don’t think the mall is haunted like what ghost would want to be in this mall there is like nothing in it btw I live in Massena but i wish everything that was in there was still there
Ответитьis the mall still open?
ОтветитьThe mall was amazing in it's prime.
I would constantly be there visiting family and friends. It was an event going over the border from Cornwall. It's a dam shame.
i know this was posted close to ten years ago, but thank you so much for this video. i was kid in massena in the late 2000s-early 2010s, and this is the best example ive found so far of what it looked like when i was growing up. I never realized shoe dept was open at the same time as bon ton and bath and body works, and thought they never coexisted! so fun to revisit the mall i spent my childhood in
