This is so excellent. Exactly what I needed and was looking for, for the first 4 weeks home before the 2nd vax. Do you keep your pup in the house and yard (no other dogs), ONLY for the first 4 weeks until the 2nd vax?

How do you get a beagle puppy to focus? She is obsessed with food and hardly looks away from the hand with food in it.

When doing the focus training, my pup usually looks at my mouth and not my eyes since that’s where the noise is coming from. Is it the same idea? Should I still reward him for focusing on me at all?

Thank You. Focus is number one! We have a 14 year old Maltese with near perfect performance in all situations… we just added an 8 week old female Maltipoo as a mate. OUr biggest endeavor is to teach her focus, and to pee on a pad that is accessed by a doggy door into the garage. Currently she is in a playpen with a pad in there. She is already going on the pad… sometimes. We reward her when she does it. I look forward to your detailed training videos.

my puppy has food drive all right... he will eat everything in sight (wood, rocks, soil, toads,toys...) ..24-7

Any advice on helping a very timid 10week old puppy who is scared of leash and outdoors?

I can see you've got many positive feedbacks, so I guess the problem is at my side. However I'm going to tell you how I found this video: Too much talk, and repetition but no simple clear instruction for what to do and how to do it. Wouldn't it be better if there were just short videos to show exactly what and how it should be done? You have it on some of the tips. Thanks.

At last ! Sound, solid, simple, perfect advice , having trained dogs for years I can assure everyone this IS the way to start 👍Takes a bit of practice but stick with it, it works .

If my fiance and I are getting a puppy soon, do you recommend we appreciate the training between us or have one of us do a majority of it?

My puppy growls at me when I sit on the floor with her!! And even if I’m standing sometimes she’ll bark and growl. Does anyone have any idea why?

I keep trying tip 2 and when I throw the toy she runs to it but doesn’t bring it back.

I just accidentally gave you a thumbs down - and thankfully noticed my mistake right away - I LOVE your videos. We've had many labs in recent years and you would think I would have training down to a fine art - but I always knew that I had some serious shortcomings and didn't take training seriously enough. They're such comedians and I was too busy laughing at their antics. We would see a well behaved lab and say for a dog to be that well behaved, they must be beating it with a stick. Not so according to your videos. If you can train me to train my new puppy it will be a miracle.

What if I have two puppies? Should I do it at the same time or separate them?

OK so what do I do with my puppy all the rest of the hours of the day...after dinner is the worst she eats at 5..so we meal time train, potty, little walk..play ok now it's 6:30 pm..her bed time is 8pm..What do I do with her? Playpen?

We just got our new Labrador yesterday and boy I was so caught off guard!!!!!!!
He did not sleep at night... He was biting my carpet my curtains bedframe shoes..... Oh and the list goes on.
I will give a try your videos and see how it goes.

One thing I do noticed is that he will sit in front of me and stare at me and then he starts jumping .... Is he trying to play?

We want to get a labrador for my son.And I am doing research I am so glad I found this stunning video.

Will then the dog grow only doing thigs for reward? I mean...can you still do all of what you say later on in his/her life WITHOUT reward? Or are we forever slaves of rewards?

Picked my Belgian Mali up yesterday, she is slightly young at 6 week 5 days but fully weened. She's so relaxed.. played with a tug toy all last night, she was shattered last night. She seems to be sleeping a lot !! But I'm playing with her all the time. Thanks for the video and tips.

Love your puppy videos. We brought home an 8 week old blue heeler two days ago and it gave me a great sense of confidence to have some tips to approach training with. He’s already doing great getting into sit position and focusing on me during meals, even in our naturally distracting household of small boys.☺️
