the only think I didn't like was the port type. Mini USB feels so old school now and having that extra cable there just for that keyboard is kind of a pain.

Hi switch and click, just got this keyboard recently based off of you video and I’m in love with it! Only problem is that I can’t seem to figure out how to activate the backlights, the functions you provided in the video doesn’t seem to work on my keyboard 😭

pressing fna and then the arrow keys does not turn on the backlight for me

I have ducky MIYA pro cherry mx red. It’s amazing. Never continued with the same keyboard for more than 6 months. This one is an exception

I've been been binge watching all your videos for the last few days... you have really made quite an awesome channel full of detailed and entertaining information that is also accessible for new players such as me. I think I would have bought a few dodgy keyboards if I hadn't watched your tubes first. I want to buy the best keyboard out-of-the-box as I have reservations about the plastic waste that comes from treating this as a hobby.

After thinking what to get and seeing this video, got myself a full-sized Summit design with EC2 Rose switches (I like them a bit heavier for typing).
It's amazing. After only ever using Cherry MX Brown gaming keyboard, this is heaven. Smooth like jazz.

Got a summit version with EC sakura, switches. Be aware that the switches ARE NOT LUBED. Pinging and spring noise is awful. Down in the comments ppl say the kb comes lubed, but this is not true.

Have you had an opportunity to try their new EC Iris tactile switches yet? I'm looking to pick up this board, but waiting to find a review for the new switches first. Thanks for the great content!

This still rings true in 2022, and now it comes with USB-C instead of the Mini-USB which just makes it perfect!

I've this keyboard and spacebar doesn't work if pressed together with WASD, Making jumps during runs impossible to do... frankly, not worth it

Betty, I need some advice please! 🙂 I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a Varmilo keyboard. I like the look of this one - it's eccentric and fun, and I like the Japanese theme. The one I'm looking at online has Cherry MX Brown switches. Two other alternatives are the CMYK version with Varmilo EC Violet switches and the Moonlight version with Varmilo EC Ivy switches. I currently have two Keychron keyboards: a K2 with red Gateron switches and a K1 SE with Gateron blues. I like them both although at the moment I'm probably favoring the K1 SE a little more. I haven't tried enough key types to know which, if any, I absolutely prefer. I'm looking at Varmilo because they get good reviews, have fun, funky designs (although maybe not the Moonlight which is a bit grey) and you rate them highly. I've just re-watched several of your videos (edit just to make sure: you're the go-to producer for keyboard videos!) trying to help me make the decision. Thanks for any feedback if you see this amongst the millions of messages you probably get these days!

I recently bought Varmilo Yakumo with their EC V2 Sakura switches (comes with usb-c now btw!).
It was a bit pricey for my taste (especially since I got a 100% model), but honestly no regrets, it's a really nice keyboard right out of the box. Big joy to type on several months in.

they could mention nowadays that all (new) Varmilo keyboards have "cherry blossom"/"sakura" perfume put on them. I ordered one and product info said nothing about it.. just saying as warning. ppl might be allergic

I've been using MX Brown switches for like 10 years now and love them. Not offering them in this hurts. I've never changed switches before, but I guess I could buy one of these and just replace all of the switches.

Got the same red one but with a numpad. And i got a black cable. Dunno if i used another cable i already had. Don´t think so tho.. I do LOVE it tho.
