Because this trickster magician stole my heart during the Fontaine AQ. Am I ever going to reach his max potential? Probably not. Do I have huge skill issue? Yes. Would my account be greatly improved if I pulled for Neuvi instead of C0 R1 Lyney? Also yes. But alas, what can one do 🤷‍♀️

As a console player, I pulled Lyney for the challenge and don't regret a single bit. ( Also got his cons after each of his banner lmao, at c3 now cause double).

Is he worth getting for a mono pyro team? I don’t have furina yet, but plan on 100% getting her on her next rerun so if I get Lyney I’ll be running him in a mono pyro team with kazuha or a overload team with my c6 Chevy in the mean time, my favourite dps is mualani who I have c2 so I like the nuke play style but wanna know if that only applies to his vape team?

I started maining lynette and i always liked lyney, but im nit sure if i'll have enough for him AND Mavuika 🥲.

Lyney is a super strong dps granted you put in the time to either learn to play him well in his strongest setups or work around his caveat by using more comfy team comps. Players often forget that in PvE games ease of play is also a DPS increase. The more you spend executing a moveset (in this case a rotation) more consistently and reliably will directly translate to damage. So, if you need a shielder to play Lyney, by all means play him with Zhongli. You don't have to force yourself in a mono pyro setup with kazuha if that makes it difficult for you or don't play him Furina vape. Play him in a style that makes you feel strong with him.

My feeling about seeing this guy on this channel can be sunmed up in two words. "Now disappear!"

The first phase of 5.1 is such an easy skip, both with characters and weapon banners. With Neuv, Zhongli, and Mavuika coming up next, there's zero reason to spend now.

Well all is okay but lyney is just another hu tao being stuck in one or two team 2/1geo/pyro with chiori or vape with furina. And take lots of effort to capitalize his dmg bonus. Specially when there are neuvillete right next to him and mavuika around the corner and everybody loves arlechino over lyney while she's easy to manage and does better dmg than lyney even without furina

arle, lyney and hutao honestly all have very similar dps
arle is simply ranked highest because she's most comfortable and easy

I honestly think he's S, while he may be "Hard to play" it's really not that hard unless you have a big skill issue, plus his numbers are so high that you're 2 hitting the enemies anyway

Pull Lyney if there is nothing you need around him. At this point save for Mavuika and get Lyney in a third rerun. He is not that important. His teams are extemely limited and despite of his high damage is extremely conditional compared to anything else. At this point getting Neuvillette is a better choice if skipping Mavuika

Don't do it you will regret it he looks fun to play until you try it . The only reason you will play him is to justify pulling him.
He does more emotional and metal damage than pyro damage

I'd say from a meta standpoint he was a must pull for speed runners/skill expression/reset impact players but now Mualani just completely destroys everyone in that department, lyney is still good but Mualani is much more rewarding if you want to learn to play the game

I've seen a lot of cracked lyneys in co-op

Though i find him to be a very strong character and his damage potential is possibly higher than both arle and neuvi only surpassed by mualani. Although if his frontloaded doesn't kill then you're gonna charge attacks and those are annoying to play. The only bow units i play are Childe, Fischl and Tiggy and Faruzan. With faruzan and tiggy i tend to use charge attacks with them alot. Except when it comes to tighnari his CAs are prettt fast. While Faruzan is mostly because of free particles before casting her burst even though i already have c6.

Sometimes besides neuvi, arle and Maulani who imo are better than him, i find other dps characters like Al, Clo, Navia, Kinich, Xiao and even Hu Tao who is also somewhat annoying to play. To somewhat be slightly better than him or equal. Not damage potential wise though, i think lyney's damage potential is higher than all of them or maybe equal to hu tao vape with xilo.

Though He might actually be better if the Mavuika kit leaks are true.

If m*** or k**** sees this i might have a feeling i might have something at my back. And honestly i have a feeling someone might throw the "skill issue" card on me. So ya know what idc cause even though i agree with people sometimes i take them with a grain of salt.

He's certainly tied for 2nd best but Hu Tao is easier to play and with the right supports she's just the better investment especially xianyun. Definitely pick your preference but Arle is moderately better than both assuming c0 for everyone.

I'm so excited to pull for him❤ I only started playing back in March so this is my first chance at him!! I'm also in the Fontaine story so I have fallen in love with his character
