Possibly he wanted the last chance for creating a family which he knew that door was closed with Jennair's age. It was too fast and abrupt for Jennair to even get her bearings no wonder she became unhinged!

This is a case study in manipulation. Both on this show with the producer and interviewer (where were the interviews with J's friends and family?). We only get one side. A huge tragedy and I hope the walking red flag stays away from relationships. I literally saw his new bride sing how wonderful he was, those very words! and yet he claims she never said it to him. This man is a very good liar. Back then, his wife had no access to proper help for the emotional and spiritual damage done over decades of this monster controlling her. She and the mistress would be alive today if so. No sane person who loves another would want to hear, let alone transcribe, the affair. She needed help and a lawyer, not this man manipulating her until the very tragic end.
