Classic car that many People in Vancouver own
ОтветитьLove that I can now buy one (not that I would) For under 40k used lol
Ответить2024 you had a $5000 credit and you can pick one up for $51,000 depending on what province you live in if you’re in BC even less so you misleading people when you say it’s $87,000 that’s two years ago I know
ОтветитьPlasticky saves weight
ОтветитьAlmost got a MY but ended up with a Lexus RX instead. The ride was too rough and loud. Beyond that I enjoyed it very much
Ответитьpeople who buy electic cars r just fooling themselves
ОтветитьTesla No Way.. besides quality issues.. it’s owner stands with a Criminal Named Trump
ОтветитьI rewatched this a year on, six months after getting a Model Y LR with no options (white exterior, black interior, five seats, 19-inch gemini wheels, just under 70k CAD before taxes and rebate at the time). As usual Zack and Andrea were spot on, the only real changes since their review are the price drop, better ride due to the new 'comfort' suspension (which I have), and now grey is the default exterior colour and white is a paid option. Mine was built in Fremont, and I've had no build quality or reliability issues. Personally, I like the form-follows-function design, there is too much pointless decoration on the alternatives. In particular, one of the reasons Teslas are more efficient is the low-drag exterior design.
ОтветитьI know it has been a year since this video but I had to watch it again after experiencing the Model Y on a vacation to Arizona recently. I have to say that the car is amazing and I want one! When flying from NL to Arizona, it was pure comfort to sit in their seats! Best seats in a vehicle that I have experienced and I am a E-Class Mercedes owner. The tech, the acceleration, the charging network, all made for a fantastic driving vacation in Arizona and Nevada. Thank you Hertz for having the Model Y, I am hooked! Now if I can only get Tesla to set up shop in Newfoundland.... :)
ОтветитьTesla is the Apple in the EVs. That is exactly what I think so too. 👍
Ответить86k? They are like half now!
ОтветитьAnd Consumer Reports is sponsored by......
Ответитьso the pro is that you can get to be a fanboy? uhm
ОтветитьKia with a Ipad
ОтветитьSome people get bent about the screen and no knobs or switches. All Tesla come with voice control by pressing and holding the right steering wheel button down. There over 100 voice commands, ex. Turn AC to 18 degrees...and it does it, two hands remain on the steering wheel, its safer and why do we need switches...
ОтветитьIf you think there are a lot Teslas in Vancouver come to Victoria!
ОтветитьDecent range but the harsh ride, awful ergonomics, garbage build quality and atrocious styling are dealbreakers (only the Model S is decent looking imo). But hey...still a decent vehicle
ОтветитьI just took delivery of a 2023 Model Y white with white interior and hitch, I could not believe the delivery experience, stellar second to none, 150% better than the 2023 Ioniq 5 I just got rid of. The ride not quite as smooth as the Ioniq 5, the noise is well attenuated on rough roads, except for expansion joints - we opted for the 19" base wheels and tires for efficiency and better ride (I may upgrade the shocks to adaptive ones later on). The infotainment is just 1000% over the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and now I can road trip with confidence as the Canadian Government has no mandates to insure access to recharging on any major routes inparticular the Trans-Canada Highway which we will be heading to Pembroke Ontario during the summer. Sorry Petro Canada your electric Highway is terrible at the moment for CCS charging, you admited your reliability sucks and I for one did not want to be left stranded! Do not take me wrong we have done over 45,000KM long distance road trip in our 2020 Kia Soul EV, but in the last couple of years the CCS chargers are dying a slow death and finding populated functioning CCS chargers that work is getting hard to find.
ОтветитьFor Canadian buyers, the prices went down and we can now get the 5k$ rebate from federal gvt on the LR.
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the Tesla base model and the prius 2023 ,what is the best?
ОтветитьTime to revisit the 2023 Model Y AND Long range, improved suspension, software now allows for regen level settings, and now a great price with the recent price reduction and now it qualifies for both Canadian Federal & provincial EV rebates makes it compelling buy, the test drive to see if it does truly have improved suspension.
Ответитьcan we revisit this now that that in BC its 70k - 9k in incentives?
ОтветитьIronically, the Apple of EVs doesn't allow you to use Apple CarPlay.
ОтветитьTesla just lower the price of the model Y at 59 900$ in Canada. Now elegible to the goverments incentives. Is it now a no brainer ? It's only 5 000$ more than the model 3.
ОтветитьThe Base Model Y is now (April 2023) $60,000 CAD and now qualifies for Govt $5,000 rebate. A little bit more incentive for those not wanting to buy at it the previous $70K price tag.
ОтветитьDo they still offer that where the seat goes back and tilts?
Ответитьver well spoken and thoughtful
ОтветитьWith Hertz renting Tesla Model Y and 3, anyone can 'test drive' a Tesla before making a purchase decision. I drove one for a week in Oregon and really enjoyed it. My only gripe is when you put it in R or D, it won't start moving... you have to press the accelerator pedal to get any movement. It does need a small display in front of the steering wheel in my opinion. I also think the side mirrors and rear view mirror are too small.
ОтветитьI liked your pros and cons comments. We took delivery about a month ago (white on white). I have to agree on your interior evaluation. It is going to be amazing on what EVs will look like in three to five years, new battery chemistry, better range, shorter charging time and much better competition.
ОтветитьReviewing comments is something that no other channel's are doing, great touch
ОтветитьI thought the Tesla SUVs had Lambo (wing) doors in the rear?
ОтветитьIt's just a car with a laptop
ОтветитьWith the recent price drop, a lot more value now. I agree with you that the interior is lacking, but you know what, I had multiple different kids sit in the car, they don't care about anything other than the screen and the software. Tesla figured out what people interact with the most and really focus on those features and got rid of things people never use, such as retractable sun roof.
ОтветитьI just picked up a 2023 MY 7 seater this week. Mine came with many plastic trim parts converted to soft touch padded "leather". Feels a lot more like a BMW interior now.
ОтветитьI think you can change the regen brake now love your vids
ОтветитьQuestions & Comments;
1. When will Tesla offer an SUV???
2. What if I don't want a panoramic roof? The glare of the sun is difficult to prevent if it's constantly coming through the roof. At least allow me to "close" it.
3. When will Tesla offer a vehicle that consistently gets 425 miles on one charge?
4. When will Tesla offer ventilated seats?
5. When will Tesla incorporate Android Auto/Apple Car Play?
6. I've driven one and the regenerative brakes are difficult to get used to. After driving for 43 years, when I take my foot off the accelerator, I expect to coast to a stop - not just STOP! It's disconcerting.
I’m taking another look at this video after the new price reduction. I guess it doesn’t come with ventilated seats? So much more research to do. I’m so disappointed with all the other manufacturers, they can’t seem to even produce hybrids at the moment (Lexus/Toyota).
ОтветитьI am considering this. I guess it makes sense at this new price point.. any body looking at this after the price reduction
ОтветитьI like the exterior but the inside - I feel like I would be driving an appliance like a fridge or. Dishwasher . I need to look at eye candy .
ОтветитьI will never spend a dollar of my money on a low quality Tesla.
ОтветитьKudos to Zach for talking sense. Awesome review.
ОтветитьAndrea didn't let Zac speak in this video. She was scared, he may end up saying something bad about Tesla 😄
ОтветитьI think people justify the price by not having to pay for gas.
ОтветитьI love your unbiased review. I find it to be very informative, and with a few laughs along the way. I know you meant it, Zack with the "cheapo" remarks.😂 It's so true what you've said, I can't justify an 80K vehicle with a 35K body.
ОтветитьTest drove one recently. Negatives: (1) suspension (like driving Flintstone wheels); (2) rear view visibility is horrible (sliver of a back window and side mirrors too small); (3) price ($70k US); (4) it's all EV (would prefer a hybrid); (5) color choices; (6) size (not really enough space for an "SUV". Positives: (1) the control center (especially the nav aid, air conditioning controls, music options, apps); (2) center console (charging base for 2 iPhones (Yes!)); (3) handling (fast); (4) ecosystem (yes, it is the iPhone of cars); (5) range (300+); (6) ubiquitous charging stations.
ОтветитьI won’t pay more than $50,000 for this brand new. Until then they can keep it. BMW i4 that my friend just ordered after incentives is $47k. Don’t know why Tesla is overcharging so much for a 15inch screen lol.
ОтветитьZack, since paint quality is not superb, will one color hold up better than another? My feeling is that silver cars hide defects the best, but Tesla no longer offers silver.
ОтветитьGood YT channel
