This game looks awesome. Just finished Metroid Prime Remastered and really hoping this one comes out on Switch as well! Never had the chance to play these games when I was younger sadly

Just got done doing 100% normal and hard for Metroid Prime 1 and 2 and I think I'll stick with normal-only now.
Not so much hard as much as annoying with how long some fights can take. I skipped so many enemies.

Yeah after seeing this footage it makes sense to me why Nintendo wouldn’t give this game the full treatment. MP2 and MP3 are just nowhere near as legendary as Prime, even with all of their “improvements”. The art direction is noticeably weaker, the immersion is way worse, and the games just don’t feel like a masterpiece like Prime, even if they do improve on the Prime formula. Prime is just an exceptional game, and MP2, while having some good moments, just comes nowhere near.

Not as iconic as part 1...and the lighting effects were scaled way down,sadly...the awesome way samus' shots lit up dark rooms was a BIG part of the atmospheric feel of part 1...that being said..part 2 is a graphically superior game...and honestly the gameplay is deeper...in other words..it's a masterpiece

Something I was always curious about, the number of troopers total that ended up on Aether. from what I observed I counted about 40 troopers, including those who were just part of the scenery, those that become possessed, and the missile trooper. Of them only 12 have recoverable log entries, and the ship they arrived in has... not nearly enough seating for all of them, about 22 seats.

They must have really crammed a whole cadre in that ship.

i like the way that if you fall off the map you get teleported back and you only lose 10 energy that makes falling off less threatening lol.

Hopefully they can do the same thing they did with one on the switch and make it look good as well

Sure this game is the black sheep of the family in the series, but it's my favorite. Aside from Fusion, MP2 was my introduction into the Prime series. I've played Prime 1 and appreciate it tremendously. But Prime 2 stood out from how difficult it was and I loved it. Sure, it does need polishing and doesn't LOOK AS GOOD as Prime 1. But I think it's still visually stunning.

Man...will we ever get to see this title a remastered work for Switch? C'mon Nintendo, make it happen.

I love this game so much, every time I watch a walkthrough, I can't help but see myself walking through the game as if I was the one playing.
Thanks for this honest, nice playthrough. Maybe you've got it since then but the game's mechanics were set so you shoot enemies/storage units with one special beam to get ammo for the opposite beam (ie shoot Dark ammo to get Light ammo).

Metroid Prime games are basically 1 huge 3D Zelda dungeon

why did you never use super missiles on the turrets, that just seems like a misplay, kill everything fast so you dont die is best pathing

Contrast seems off, making textures look a bit flat - I never played Echoes, but the first Prime looks better (on my TV anyway). Did the emulator jack the brightness and shadows?
