If I have windows on the storage do I have to install windows again? Might be a stupid question to ask but just to make sure

Thanks for the guide, one thing though is that when you install the radiator fans, make sure they are intake because you want cold air going through them, not hot air.

Edit: I solved it by taking it apart and just rebuilding the whole thing, if anyone is going through this just try again a couple of times before you assume it’s a fried Motherboard or some other hardware issue.

Will swapping out your motherboard delete your OS and all your files?

Literally just swapped my mother board and the pc won’t even start up, what do I do? Ram is good, power supply is good, cpu is good. All the cables look plugged in. Idk 🤷‍♂️

I think the biggest concern is losing my game installs when swapping the drives to a new motherboard. I’ve heard I’d have to reinstall everything, I’ve heard it should all transfer over no problem. Not sure what’s true or not, I know if you have a Microsoft account the Windows license key will transfer but idk about my game installs

Never understood why thermal paste isn't sold in extremely tiny packages. You don't need much and chances are: you'll never need to re-apply. Just seems like a waste.

I just wanted to say how helpful this video is! I just broke a capacitor on my sisters MOBO while trying to switch her graphics card and this will save me so much time!!

situation: i have an ssd with and existing windows. i replaced my old b450m steel legend mobo with a new b450m steel legend motherboard because the old one was too dirty.
