new dog owner. pup turns 1 next month. Her ideal weight is 45-50 and she sits at 47 right now. high energy pup. so am I correct that she should be getting 1.5 lbs of raw a day? And can i substitute ground turkey or ground chicken instead of hamburger? Help?

Instead of cooking everything together and losing nutrients, would it be okay to cook only the meat first, blend all the other ingredients, and mix them into the cooked meat?

Okay, I'm dumb with math. 3% of my dogs weight of 75 pounds is 2.25, I think. But what is that in cups? Your video is not clear on that . 3% of what??

Stupid question perhaps, but are the percentages of weight mentioned to feed in ounces or pounds of food? I.e. puppy is 17 weeks and weighs 45 pounds. Would that be 7% or 3.15. Is that pounds of foods per day (which seems really high) or ounces (which is super low)? Thank you for your time in explaining the math in the formula for me.

Geez I’ve been making a crock pot once a week of chicken, beef, broccoli, squash and sweet potatoes not knowing I shouldn’t feed her sweet potatoes 😩

My dog Jack passed last April from DCM. He was 8. He received the beat medical treatment we could but it was too late. And the medicine probably killed him too. Its all a scam. I fed him Rachel Ray. I didn’t know about the peas thing. It wasn’t grain free. Sadly I knew nothing about all this going on with the food. I realize now I can’t trust any foods. Pet or human and do so much research now till my brain hurts and It’s all just so disgusting. They never t only want us sick and in the “medical system “ they want our beloved pets as well.

My dog can be a picky eater and she LOVED this recipe. I’ll definitely be making more like this.

The DCM chart shown here shows a high number of DCM cases for grain free food. 
In the recipe, grains are left out.
If rice isn’t the way to go, what grain would work to keep my babies from developing a DCM issue?

This is one of the best beginner recipes I've seen. Very good job. I've been feeding raw for 20 years. I miss the good old days when people realized that it did not have to be complicated. and thank you for mentioning that this is just the beginning, that there are other aspects to it, such as different proteins, etc. But this is a great place to start for most people.

been following your recipe since Jan 2023, I was getting depressed before since our golden retriever had lost interest in meal time (kibbles), we had to play with her kibble to get her to even eat. Since making food like this she salivates in her mouth as I am getting her bowl ready.. just that alone is so worth it!!!!, not to mention her coat is so shiny now, and her already long coat has gotten even longer lol.. making her look even more gorgeous.. we are not going to add a family member, and had to come back to this video to review puppy feeding guidelines. I find this video is more on track than other videos. Thanks so much. I certainly can’t consult my 2 vets on nutrition. They are both against any raw food or home made food what so ever. I’ve also butter heads with them on wanting to vaccinate the dogs for every known disease in the world. Not doing it ❤❤❤❤thanks for this video. I’m sharing it like a crazy man!

I actually have a bag with mixed seeds so wanted to use that. if so, could you recommend the amount i should use based on dogs weight? (have 2-40lb dogs and a 90lb dog) i also give chicken and pork as main protein if i follow what you provided using that instead give the same nutritional values? thanks in advance.

DCM is FAKE lets start with that... coincidence that the best dog foods are at the top of the list but low quality garbage aint?? dont be one of those people who could ever believe that low quality dog food cooked at 1200 degrees could be better then any human food they can have.. go look up every dog who made it to a extremly old age they ate real food!! half this video is right half is rookie bullshit

If my puppy is 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds, I already doubled the recipe and it’s still not 2.25 pounds would I triple the recipe to feed him daily. I won’t afford that but I want him to be healthier so can I mix high quality kibble to the raw food if yes how much?

also many of the kibble brands especially the healthy ones have been tested and shown positive for mycotoxins. Mold toxicity in animals AND humans is no joke and can be a silent killer. Thank you for making this video!

I don’t understand the feeding requirements. For a year plus you say 2.5% of body weight. But 2.5% means what exactly? Ounces? Pounds? And are they fed that amount only once a day, or twice a day or what? My dog is 28lbs and 2.5% of that is 0.7, so is it 0.7 pounds of food per day?

since when did animals evolve to eat vegetables? They are all carnivore..............

Great recipes. I have a 12lb mini golden doodle that will not eat ground beef. He loves chicken and fish. Watching this video I realize there is way too much rice in his diet and not enough protein. I was going to swap rice for sweet potato but after watching I am a little confused whether that is a good choice. Would pumpkin be better?

Every month I change his veggies but only swap between broccoli peas and carrots and once in a while kale . He loves eggs but I limit the amount of times he gets in a week
