When cutting foam I have found a small drill bit on a router works great. Your welcome.
ОтветитьIm thankful that you shared this kind of energy with me atm. Idk what to do still but this slight distracting but informative video ,topped with good character , helps my faith.
ОтветитьJust had an interaction with a Southwest agent. I have a 1650 case with my own locks, with two firearms unloaded and taken apart. The agent tried to tell me there are new rules regarding traveling with firearms and a locking suitcase isn’t enough anymore. Firearms have to be in a locked container within a locked suitcase. I asked for the agent’s supervisor and that person cleared me. Any validity to this supposed “new rule?”
ОтветитьApache brand from Harbor Freight has treated me good for the price.
ОтветитьElectric filet knife is the best way to cut the foam, make sure to keep it at a right angle to the surface. Also, plan out your foam before you start cutting.
ОтветитьSo much wrong information here
ОтветитьOh dear this video is unfortunately outdated, perhaps a 2023 update?
ОтветитьBig Sads in Massachusetts...
ОтветитьIn the 1650 pelican could a guy throw clothes and stuff and also put say a glock in the unlocked factory box, but put solid locks on the pelican? Or do you have to have another small pelican inside the big pelican also locked?
ОтветитьYes, buy from them their gear. They send you the wrong products a then no matter where you send them emails, they never respond back. Now with the Bank, I had to stop payment to them, and it is almost 90 days, and not heard a word from them. So their customer service sucks. Their products are good if you get what you order.
ОтветитьI am good to my cases. BUT, I have seen firsthand what TSA and Baggage-Handlers of the various airlines think is their "care" of the passenger's belongings. Gentle duty is my handling. Hard duty is the Baggage Boys. I use Pelican 1750 for rifle plus the shotgun and then use Pelican 1620 for Pistols, range first aid kit, and ammo in manufacturer's boxes for all.
ОтветитьYou better believe that airline employees toss around your boxes. They are not gentle with luggage, at all.
ОтветитьAny time you fly in to NY, they will try to arrest you. Don't do it.
ОтветитьWhy did u go to California, they hate guns
ОтветитьHey im not a plane person i would either travel by road or water with that being said what are the laws regarding taking a firearm be it a pistol or rifle on a cruise/ferry or any other type of boat travel
ОтветитьAnyone use the factory gun carry case and keys it came with ?
ОтветитьGood info. One confusing part is, you say TSA approved. But TSA didn't approve any cases. Any case that fulfills TSA criteria is good to go.
ОтветитьDo you have to cut the foam out to fit the rifle what if you want to carry different rifles in the same case
ОтветитьJesus bro just get to it, talking for hours… just get to it
ОтветитьYou don't have to use original manufacturer boxes for ammo. A reloaders case is acceptable and works great considering not all manufacturers use the same size boxes.
ОтветитьJohn you can have loaded magazines when traveling, it is clearly stated on TSA's website.
ОтветитьHey John, I travel from NJ to MT in the fall every year for a fly fishing trip. The Grizzlies are problematic do to Hyperphagia, so I want to bring my 10mm S&W as back up to Bear spray, can I put a locked hard shell Pelican inside my soft shell rolling luggage and then check it? Thx in advance for the help.
ОтветитьAlways just tossing guns around. Yeah, they are tools. Expensive tools. Noticed in other videos he does this with other peoples gear. Must not have been taught proper respect as a child.
ОтветитьThanks for the good detail breakdown….trying to start traveling to different state for some training and needed this information
ОтветитьThat 1650 looks like your "dump box" for guns. One spends $2500-$6000 on a rifle and then grouses about $200-$300 for an equal quality box to carry it in. Shaking head, rolling eyes, LMAO... Pelican.......when one cares enough to carry your guns in the very best. Oughta be on a Hallmark card. Touching, I tell you . Just eloquently touching. Barrett cared enough to put my all three of my M107A1s and my MK22 in Pelicans. However, wish Pelican offered a V-8 option to move that loaded 1770 around. Need to rent a SEAL to hump it around for me. Don't laugh, but Harbor Freight Apache cases are great buys. Perform well above their price. Might not intentionally drop one out of a plane with a gun I've gonna really rely on, but great for gkids' guns in the motor coach basement for the week. Bought HF version of Pelican 1750 for $99.00 on sale....$169 MSRP.......kiddos walking in tall cotton.
ОтветитьJohn are you hiring? lol
ОтветитьI don't have the original boxes for my ammo, that's kind of a weird thing to keep. I do have those hard plastic lockable cases though, will that be ok?
ОтветитьWhat? The War poet comes with a case? I bought mine new, and I never got one.
ОтветитьWhen using a pic and block foam case pick and pluck your pattern take the foam out in one piece poor flex seal on cardboard liberally and then stamp the surface of your block foam into it. brush brush and let dry your pluck foam will no longer come apart
Ответитьplease come to Texas so I can train with you!
Ответитьgood idea simply separating upper and lower making it weapons parts instead of a weapon. unfortunately, nowadays, a metal credit card with a drawing and a trigger are now considered machine guns.
ОтветитьDo you have any suggestion for a ruger 10/22
ОтветитьWhat type of foam is in the 1700
ОтветитьPrint out the airline's polices for transporting guns. I had 2 AR15s on SWA through 3 airports to Las Vegas and none of the Airline knew the rules, all 3 gave me a hassle until I gave them a highlighted SWA printed policy ....... which made it easy. Did you know my German Sheppard speaks Czechoslovakia lol ......
ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьNanuk makes some pretty awesome cases.
ОтветитьGrabbed an HQ Issue based on your review. The pressure equalization valve is cosmetic, so flying with it caved it in and warped the plastic. None of the latches work anymore.
The HQ Issue cases are not capable of air travel.
I’ve talked to a TSA agent and they don’t care if the mag is loaded as long as it isn’t in the gun. Some airlines do however have their own rules on that so make sure you check with the airline. You will also find no rule that says every lock hole must have a lock. As long as you cannot access the firearm or ammunition when the case is locked you are legal. If they say you need locks on all the spot show them that you cannot get into the case with it locked as it is and you will be fine.
Ответить👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьForgive me if someone beat me to this tip. Don’t laugh but check out the Harbor Freight Apache cases.
ОтветитьLove the Starbucks Reserve cup
ОтветитьYour awesome 😂
ОтветитьGreat video, loved the other one as well.
Could you do a video on international flights? I’d like to hunt in Africa or competition shoot in Thailand. Always wondered how the Olympic international competition teams traveled.
can i put a small locked hard pistol case into my typical checked luggage bag? my glock 43x is so small, would be an easy fit
ОтветитьIs is as safe to put a gun lock box inside of a soft, no-lock piece of luggage? Seems less conspicuous (and cheaper).
ОтветитьI drive a garbage truck and found a large $400 pelican case in the trash. It easily fits an AR/Shotgun and pistol and ammo. With room to spare
ОтветитьDid I miss the link to the spray stuff you mentioned for the pick and pop cases?
ОтветитьI’m a truck driver. What would be the best way to travel to Canada with a handgun?
