ОтветитьI dont know why, but this one particular clip seems a bit video-gamey graphics like to me. I have rewatched it multiple times, and yet theres something to it, that looks perfectly shot but it seems unreal, as if it were made by graphics and VFX, and not actors acting it out infront of the camera
ОтветитьIn season 1 of the Arrowverse Flash series back in 2014 there was a reference to cordyceps and ants 😂 I immediately remembered TLOU
ОтветитьFungus are trying to grow a mushrooms-like growth in my feet. Some fungus have mutated and can get into us humans then into the feet. If it gets into the gut, it can cause waste to drain into the foot. I hope medical science can find a way to defeat this because it is spreading although doctors are not realizing what it can become.
Ответить"So, if that happens?"
ОтветитьEasily my favorite scene in the entire show
ОтветитьIn 2014 Dr. Anthony Fauci said that gain-of-function virus research was so important that it was worth the risk of a pandemic. He got his wish and is celebrated as a hero by Democrats.
Ответить“What if, for instance, the world were to get slightly warmer?”
It’s not every day a single sentence makes your blood run cold
I love how the show host makes funny jokes through it all but in the end when cordyceps gets explained there’s no more jokes
ОтветитьIt is now happening in india
ОтветитьThis scene is so well done. Masterclass.
ОтветитьThis is so chilling 😅
ОтветитьAnts don't have circulatory systems.
Ответить"We'll be back after a short underwear change break"
ОтветитьnoICe
ОтветитьFolks, this scene exists to make the concept of fungus zombies seem less laughable. It's not a "masterpiece of horror" or whatever, it's there to give the show's premise some degree of respectability.
Ответитьwe would probably just use sodium bicarbonate, a super effective fungi repellent, that's rather simple!
ОтветитьIt is a good scene but remember that every single disease, virus, fungus, etc. Evolves WITH everything else, including humans. A virus mutates too strong and it dies because it kills everyone. It mutates too weak and it can't survive an immune system.
Ответитьyup we are done
ОтветитьMy issues with this series is the character common sense issues. It makes no sense at all for characters who have endured what they have and learned from it to TALK. At moments when NO ONE WOULD. To carrying on conversations at a volume in locations and situations that are dangerous that NO HUMAN BEING even the least tactical would even speak in.
It destroys the immersion feeling of fear and helplessness
This is a great scene but ignores that temperatures 4000 years ago were a few degrees warmer than today's global warming trends. Fungi didn't evolve back then, this man calls himself a scientist I think not.
ОтветитьWe can alaway replace the fungus with electric cars
ОтветитьThis and the scenes from Jakarta in the second episode were my favourite part of the whole show, and I desperately wish that the other episodes had a flashback to the outbreak in the cold opens so we could see them spreading around the world, and see how the rest of the world was affected and not just America
ОтветитьLove how when he mentioning off the different fungi, slipped in there, he says the one that took over in The Last of Us.... Cordyceps.....
ОтветитьOh no the world is getting warm
Ответитьaudience and viewer of the show gasp 😮
ОтветитьSo is he saying global warming caused Christianity
🎤...👊...🖐️....⏬
Stupid show.
Somebody read something about ants.
Why would fungus do this.
Money money money
Kept expecting Batiatus to launch into a speech about how he has the finest gladiators in the Republic 😂
ОтветитьOne of my favourite intro of all time
ОтветитьAnd right now, the scientific world is seriously considering this problem, of global warming causing fungus to adapt to warmer hosts, including humans. But it don't mean zombie Apocalypse though 🙂
ОтветитьSHHH don't give Anthony Fauci any more ideas
ОтветитьWhen the earth starts to warm the fungus will be much more problematic. We have fungus on our bodies at all times, literally. Mostly on our genitalia. Sounds like a joke but it’s true. All species adapt and evolve, fungus has been around far longer than most organisms and they will continue to be around long after us.
ОтветитьThe scariest part about this, is that it’s true.
ОтветитьLiterally the host: 😆 😅 😳 😬
ОтветитьHow the Hell did Jonathan Carnahan from The Mummy become the leading expert in fungal zombies.
Ответить“We lose “ those 2 words are just terrifying cause have how fast everything fell apart
ОтветитьGlobal warming propaganda
Ответитьproblem is... everything said in this clip is.. true; is real. So... what if?
ОтветитьGood news is that on a scale of 1 to 10 the chances of this actually happening to us is between 1 and 2 meaning we are still much more likely to be killed by a massive meteor or another virus pandemic
ОтветитьBy far my favorite scene from the tv show
Ответитьa 3 minute scene that hooked me into watching the entire series. so well done.
ОтветитьEste intro es genial!
Ответить"We lose" 😔
Makes even more sad acknowleging humans might be their own doom with wars and conflicts with nothing but superstitious ideologies causing it on one hand. The worst possible can happen at any moment.
Wasn't there an X-File's episode based on this.
Ответитьjust to be clear, i do believe there are medicines, but not vaccines, that theoretically would be able to control and cure such infection. Of the Top of my head, Fluconazol or Anfotericin B should do the trick (unable to say for sure since cordyceps currently cannot infect humans, currently...)
ОтветитьIt's crazy you used to be able to smoke on air on live tv.
ОтветитьThe world IS getting warmer....FACK.
ОтветитьI think the very last line says it best.
"Aw shit"
