I think this is a pretty interesting topic for discussion. So if you finished the video, what do you think? Who are your favourite true crime channels? Do you agree with my takes? I literally got covid by the time it took me to finish this thing so you better be nice. My next video is going to be about the American Pie Cinematic Universe.

The most disgusting aspect to me is that these women are making millions off of other people's tragedies so they're incentivized to seek out the most horrific and traumatizing cases

I 100% agree. It’s beyond saddening and sick how nonchalant these Chanel’s discuss some of the worst acts a person can do.

Bailey is disrespectful, Danielle is not. I unsubbed Bailey because of how she speaks about these crimes.
Tbh I wish they would all stop with the makeup though.

I can understand the satisfaction you feel learning about women who have killed or injured their abusers/rapists, but what did the men in so-and-so’s story do to her thats so bad people are praising her? Cheating? Not wanting to have kids yet? Oy vey. Those are like, reddit reasons to kill someone.

Anyway, I’m glad you brought up Stephanie because I constantly get her videos in my recommended despite not being an avid true crime watcher, and I’m so sick of seeing the stupid look on her face in every thumbnail

I used to watch a lot of true crime until I had a very sobering realization that I was becoming desensitized to it. I had started to view it as a form of entertainment and had all but forgotten that these were real life events that were happening to real people. Now when I watch it, I remind myself that this could be my own family. I'm only able to watch one or two videos now as opposed to in the past when I would binge dozens of video.

i think mr ballen does true crime pretty well. he focuses on the victims life and accomplishments before giving details about their murder, it feels like he’s telling THEIR story rather than the person who killed them

I consume true crime but only from a select few people now. It’s gotten to the point with these true crime people that my sister and I made an agreement that if anyone in our family was the victim of a heavily public crime we would put out statements/do takedowns of true crime videos about us. Let’s hope that never needs to happen

It’s easy to get content. Most people don’t actually pay attention to what they say. It’s basically like turning on a generic radio station, to add some spice the house cleaning. 😂😂😂.

These people need to sensor themselves to a comical degree, it becomes so detached from the reality that it is.

Like, offer your fans a subscription based series where you and your fans can gossip and talk theories respectfully away from the public.

You’d make so much money from that specific series, you’d never had to worry about being demonized.

You’d finally have some sense of integrity to say all the gory details that you REALLY wanted to talk about instead of this grossly hammed up fake sympathy shit.

It’s fucking weird. I like the gory details it’s horrific and it places me into the victims circumstances and I genuinely feel the pain for their families. then obviously cheering, and getting the feel goods when you hear the useless nothing getting sentenced.

The thing that makes me angry is that there's a HUGE movement of italian asmrartists who thrive on this kind of true crime/mixed with asmr content. I find it incredibily stupid tbh. Like...how am i supposed to relax while I'm hearing about an hideous crime such as Junko Furuta? I think this people are downright insane

Absolutely love true crime but only if done respectfully, listened to a podcast once and it was pretty good until they got so excited to talk about Charles manson because it was their favorite killer and that's where I stopped listening. They seriously said that if they lived in that time they would've been a manson girl. Never listened to them again.

No one ever criticizes Deadbug Says in these videos. I mean, he goes out of his way to be offensive.

I stopped watching Bailey and a bunch of true crime a while back, mainly because I realized how sad and paranoid they were making me. Same thing with “tea” channels that made me anxious and depressed. Nowadays I try to stay away from scary or disturbing true crime unless I’m in the mood to watch. And even then I often put a cap on it early in the day so later at night I’m not thinking about it. People sometimes seriously underestimate how much the stuff they watch can affect their mental state. Just a reminder to whoever is reading this, take a break from the drama and tea or the murder and horrors of humanity and hurt and just enjoy a moment of peace. ❤
