I like the way you explained every part of the installation- it’s a lot easier and educative.
I hope to master how to install myself..
Good day sir, do you use a separate charge controller on it?
ОтветитьMeant to say this before but GAS OVEN as well
ОтветитьHello Evan
ОтветитьWhat is everybody's outlook for the solar panel market in N.A. come 2024? What is your favourite large cap solar company?
ОтветитьGreat video Evan. Were the rails the 40 or the 60mm? and if you had to do it again, would you use the same size considering the ease of installation of the modules and wiring. Thank you
ОтветитьMy question is base on the exterior and interior part. What is meaning of dc in the solar panel and it is usefulness?,what is the meaning of AC in the solar battery and the controller of the solar energy?
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm curious on why you didn't place the panels on a ground array? Seems you have plenty of land and I hear ground arrays are easier to maintain. I'm going solar but don't have the land for a ground array. It's a no cost money project for me, the install and materials are covered by the solar company with lifetime maintenance. Where I live in Gloucester, Ma our city has a power co-op with two giant wind turbines which supplements the city's power use and is passed on to the residents. The system I'll have (16 panels) on average should produce 120% more than my avg. yearly use.
ОтветитьI'm happy to see that you load your own freedom seeds on a blue press.
ОтветитьDear Sir,
Place the solar panel vertically or horizontally
I am looking at installing a similar system at my cottage. One question...can I use my Honda .2 kw generator at 110v, to recharge the battery bank when utility power and solar power are down? Does the "backup to the backup" need to be 220v or is 110v at only 2000 watt workable?
Ответитьif this man say "ruff" one more time
ОтветитьWhat about lightning protection?
ОтветитьGreat job dude, the whole thing looks awesome!
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👌Totally awesome installation and results great job!!!
ОтветитьLiving in the UK I actually can't remember the last time I experienced a power cut seems like it's a common thing over the pond
Ответить“A backup for the backup”. Now you’re speaking my language!
ОтветитьEvan. Curious to know how you're going to keep snow off the panels. Knowing you I'm sure you have it figured out. Great job!
Ответить"....your cloudy days, and your partly cloudy days" (and the inevitable "dust filter" on the panels that you didn't "get around to" washing this week) I always enjoy your content! Y'all are true "go-getters!" (meant as a compliment, fer sure)
ОтветитьIm amazed and flabbergasted at your ability to just walk all over your roofing without a safety harness or sliding...❤❤❤
ОтветитьIn the wrap up video can you also explain the part about selling kWh back to your power company? What do they pay you per kWh? I’m interested in how your situation differs from mine
ОтветитьWhat about a followup on the tear down of the double wide trailer. hopefully that will take care of that problem with drug deals. I was thinking about maybe using the trailer frame for a hay wagon of some sort js
ОтветитьWell done Evan
Another excellent video
You can do everything and anything. Wish all men were like that. Your knowledge is impressive.
ОтветитьGreat job.very nice.
ОтветитьGreat job there Evan
ОтветитьAwesome job Evan. I’m impressed with the knowledge of installation you have. You saved money by doing it yourself. I like you explaining every step of what you are doing and the reason for it. Since you have been on your homestead, it has been more and more improvements that will benefit you and Rebekah for years to come. Your time and hard work will and is paying off. Very good job Evan and thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьHow much power in % do you make when there is no sunshine.
ОтветитьGreat job❣️Knee pads? Eye protection?
ОтветитьThat "sealant" appears to be butyl. It is frequently used to seal around windows and other openings in campers and mobile homes and many other uses. You can get it in caulk tubes or in rubbery tape form like that on the back of those brackets, that I'm familiar with. There may be others. It is superior to silicone sealant IMO.
ОтветитьIf the railing is visible from the ground, you could just paint the railings black to match the roof.
ОтветитьJudithB Looks really great!!! I am slowly checking off my projects but doesnt look like I will be able to pay for some thiings this year. Once I finish all this, plan to work on water storage!! Our normal drought time is from mid July almost to Oct and I have everything to run drip irrigation in the main garden. Little steps!!!
ОтветитьEvan what happens when it snows are there heat strands or some sort of defrost method on those panels?
ОтветитьWow your electricity consumption is massive. Is that down to air conditioning ? Would that be average in US ?
ОтветитьI am not sure if you know this. Coiling DC wires in a coil is not good. Those solar panel wires should not be coiled. It causes resistance, magnetic field and should not be done. Its a magnetitic field that is created. If you have to coil them then do a small coil then a medium coil then a larger coil so they do not have the same size of coil and have enough room so a magnetic field can not be created. See all the voltage is getting more and more with each panel so the last coils will have a much stronger magnetic field and can increase odds of a fire at worse and voltage, amperage loss at best. 1 coil is acceptable anything more the same size needs to be changed.
ОтветитьDid you have to buy any special tools?
ОтветитьHow hard was it to get the power company on board to by the power back?
ОтветитьDid you need to put one of the rapid shutdown modules on each panel?
ОтветитьEvan, when do you anticipate your break even point? You're spending $$$ on this system so what is the payoff? How much money will you expect to make? Thanks.
ОтветитьNot only saving money on electric now but it’s also a hedge against inflation with increasing electricity prices
ОтветитьVery nice job as usual. One question that I have is does it affect your homeowner's insurance? I don't know for a fact, but I have heard that your rate might increase with solar.
Either way you built a very nice setup.
What does all These Panels cost you?
ОтветитьLooks like nice setup and insta😂ll. Noticed Pete can adjust for seasonal light yours looks to be optimal for summer. How long do the panels last discounting possible hail and storm damage.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьAnother great job Evan. You’ve got this!
ОтветитьQuestion: what is the life expectancy of a solar panel with normal use. Looks like a very good job with the installation. Good luck with long life for the Solar system that you installed...💝
Ответить“Mounted to the woof” Sorry it’s quite funny how you say roof
ОтветитьSuperb job Evan always a pleasure to watch you work, great channel.
ОтветитьSuper job!
