Nice video and explanation, i ended in here swarchinf info about xiaomi ultrasonic proximity sensor, i just hope to find someone that explain properly how those types of sensors works. I notice via Aida that xiaomi seems to have tuned the phones to receipt under 5cm, and i was curious to know if is possibile to unlock it to see if the sensor can be extra tuned or if can even see longer distance things like the sensor you used with Arduino... You know something more about it maybe?

Those are fun. I took two of them and made two differential receivers so you could determine direction instead of distance but im sure you could get both.
