So all the tips didn't help instead I plugged it in to a power strip and turned the strip on and off again and that fixed it

pointless . could have taken 10 seconds and just said you need the original adapter or one as strong

That's not the issue I have though, I have the Nintendo brand AC Adapter but it simply won't connect to the TV. it charges fine but it will not connect to the TV.

By the way, you also are able to use a very strong usb-c charger and it will work, I used a JBL charger for my XTREME-3 JBL and it worked, i’m sure it’s because of the high voltage.
