I just think Windows can now have HDR while in desktop, it should be trivial to add MacOS-like HDR preview support

Monitor Device: None?
I connected to LG C2, with RTX 4090 via HDMI 2.1 Cable.
All games can play 4K HDR 120fps.
Why?

Did I miss the part about what profile to set on the monitor itself?

i get raised black floor when i work with Panasonics V Log and HDR in Davinci Resolve
any solution to that?
what i need to do with every video to get back the 0 blacks is to adjust the "offset" wheel and drag the whole video down to 0 black.
The RGB colors ends at 1 on the waveform when it should be 0

This is a very important video around hdr workflow. Not many people are explaining this correctly. Maybe we are early

This is by far the best video I've seen on HDR basics. It's like people forget there are beginners out here lol. Thanks.

Thanks for the info! Just wondering if I'm using a window pc with a motherboard that has thunderbolt 4 ports built in at the back I/O, would it be possible to use the Ultra studio 4K mini via the TB4 port on the MB with the pro Art monitor, instead of using a Decklink card that takes up one of my PCIe slot?
(FYI my MB model is the Asus ProArt X570 CREATOR WIFI)

Is there a way to set up a proper HDR preview of the ASUS PA32UCX is the only monitor in the rig, so you have to edit and monitor on the same display?

Hi there . Thanks for the video. I am new to HDR and I want to know what are the PC requirements for a windows 10. My PC specs
Monitor: Asus Proart UCG 32"Inch
Graphics card: Nvidia RTX 3090
Processor: AMD threadripper 3970X
RAM : 128GB
Software using: Davinci Resolve Studio 17

Do I still need a playback card as I have a RTX 3090 ?

Please do let me know and thanks in advance .

I am looking to purchase the Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro if my graphics card is not suitable to edit HDR

I have one Monitor (PG32UQX with 1400 nits) and I figured out that I need a DeckLink now to see the HDR because you won't see any HDR in the Davinci preview. Do I need now a second monitor for the GUI or I'm able to use only one monitor? That depends if I have to buy an Atomos. So expensive for hobby use only.

Sadly we do not all get to use APPLE products good as they may be. Blackmagic do actually make the necessary product and do document it in their DVR manual. Since neither they or the host responded to my question I'll do it. You will need a PCIe card from BM called a Decklink 4K Exreme 12G to use in a PC based system. BobUK.

in my opinon, there are some important informations missing: setting in GUI full level data? turning on full level on the asus monitor too? keeping local dimmer on or off?

On this case, how to setup the ProArt settings from the monitor menu itself?

Great explanation. Thank you! To use with Resolve is it necessary to use the Blackmagic UltraStudio 4K Mini or will it also work with the Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K

Hi. This looks as if it might be really helpful for me - just thinking about going HDR with DVR studio 17 on PC. Which Dec link card is needed? Thanks. BobUK.
