How do you get enough money to keep cruising and making these wonderful videos? I have enjoyed every one.
ОтветитьCould you take an electric kettle, to make tea or coffee in your cabin?
ОтветитьAlarmed to think your life Jacket is in your room ?? Why not at your Muster station ?
I must have got this wrong. Delay in an emergency costs lives.
Cunard sucks!!!!!??
ОтветитьNo
Ответитьi almoust booked costa deliziosa but travel agent sayd its not great at end i go with holland america i woud not have a problem at costa like i speak english, italian, german, swiss german, greek, japonese, russian, portuguese, spanish and polish.
ОтветитьThanks for the heads up about smoking - absolute deal-breaker to force me to inhale others' carcinogens!
ОтветитьThey should have been shut down years ago
ОтветитьThat is how Italians eat.
ОтветитьThis makes me want to cruise again. Last one was 6 months ago.
ОтветитьAs a smoker I don't mind the smoking. Hell. It's a welcoming change to be able to smoke on your own balcony.
ОтветитьTap water as drink in a restaurant is something you'll rarely find in continental Europe, if at all (Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Czechia at least)
ОтветитьThe language problem is so weird for me, people complaining that others don’t speak English 🙂 but what about them learning another language?
ОтветитьPrincess has free delicious pizza on the pool deck like 16 hours a day. lol
ОтветитьThe food temps terrify me. Having had food poisoning so bad that it eventually postponed a surgery and required an ER visit, I wouldn’t want to risk food that wasn’t at a safe temperature (I also won’t eat at a an Applebees ever again).
ОтветитьI wouldn't go on a cruise whith any smoking
ОтветитьMy first cruise was a full four week re-location cruise with Costa from Italy to India and that too on a very old ship, the Costa Neoclassica, that was decomissioned one year later. To be honest, everything about this cruise was really perfect! The food was amazing and I so enjoyed the fact that the dinner took long. Language was not an issue at all. We were seated with 3 other German couples (although double our age, we had a great time) and we got never bored. I did this cruise in 2017 and we paid 2000 Euro for four weeks including flights to Italy and back from Mumbai, an incredible price! We booked a drink package for 400 Euros (100 per week) and it was really a perfect choice. The whole cruise was such a nice holiday vibe, due to the fact that it was multilingual.
I was cruising on the Queen Mary 2 after this. It was interesting to see, but the Costa cruise was overall so much better! Guess it depends on the taste as well..
Costa your life cruises. No thanks
ОтветитьOne thing that really is different about italian cruises that doesnt get mention. Body imagine. Italian ladies are not all thin and dont care about wearing a two piece etc. They are confident. Far different to western cruises like british or american etc. And the italians like a party.
ОтветитьSurprising that a cruise line catering to Italians wouldn't have a high standard for food quality. Italians take their food very seriously.
ОтветитьTry the buffet on the IONA!
ОтветитьSince I’m a foodie, and want more things included. Cheap cruises like Costa or Carnival are not really for me. Celebrity cruises is my first choice.
ОтветитьNo water? Blimey!
ОтветитьI don't think I would ask "what's the worst that could happen" about a cruise line that not that long ago had a drunk-captaining incident that resulted in a 114 kt ship ending up sunk sideways, the captain abandoning the passengers, and the passengers having to force their way to the lifeboats.
ОтветитьI’m American and I say half past or quarter past or to quarter to.
ОтветитьHmmm..thanks for that review. Think I'll stick to Cunard's Queen Elizabeth.
ОтветитьGreat video !!!
ОтветитьIf you go to another country you shouldn't expect them to speak your language. That's just entitlement to the next level. Imagine an Italian company being run by Italians who speak Italian. Shocking.
ОтветитьCosta Cruise Line IS an Italian Cruise Line.
ОтветитьCheap or not no more Italian cruises for me.
ОтветитьThe smoking and food stuff sounds like a no go. Cigs stink and the smokers seem clueless.
ОтветитьI found on Costa if near US/Caribbean the first announcement is made in English, in Europe it is the last announcement. Also if price in shop is $10.00 then in Europe it is changed to Euro or Pound. I liked Costa - cruised with them many times in Europe and in Caribbean - but not for maybe 10 or 15 years
ОтветитьCosta Cruise is a no go !
ОтветитьWe really do say two-forty-five in the UK; of course we do!
ОтветитьNo free water? Yeah...that is too far. Way too far. It's ridiculous and a deal breaker.
ОтветитьMy grandparents always used quarter to three and half past ten terminology for time as well! (We are from Texas and they were born in the 30’s) a few people talk like that still but it is very rare. Love learning from your channel!
ОтветитьI went to Costa Magica and Costa Favolosa, it was not the best but it was GREAT, I love it
Ответитьin europe they just don’t give you tap water haha
ОтветитьWow. I can't believe how cheap that is. Here in the US, you simply can't travel for that cheap even in country. That's one thing about Europe that I love. You can travel almost anywhere for ridiculously low fares. I used to live in England back in the mid 80's as a kid and have such fond memories and I visit London almost annually and even though a lot has changed over the years, I always get a feeling of nostalgia. Everything is still there. I've never been on a cruise before but having this channel makes it easy to know how much bang you're getting for your dollar (or pounds LOL). I am now better informed on what the norm is and what to expect on a cruise. Thanks for providing such a valuable resource in such an easy format to understand.
ОтветитьWow!
Culture makes a HUGE difference!
I kinda like the ideas they used [for the most part]!
I can't beleive tap water isnt free
ОтветитьI don’t get the language issue. If I go to another country, I expect things to be in their language. If I were to do a cruise with a non-English company, I’d expect everything to be in that language (be it Italian, German, Norwegian etc). We all have the ability to learn some basic phrases or use google translate.
Smoking however… yuck. No thanks.
Makes note "avoid....Costa"
ОтветитьYour description of the buffet on the cost of cruise reminded me of that father's description of the tourist hotels in the Costa Del Sol where a buffet was included. He said virtually the same thing as you which is why they never got a hotel they got an apartment and then cooked or 8 out since it was a far better deal than the included meals. Unfortunately, on a ship you don't really have a lot of alternative options. Outside of a port, it's not like you can go next door to another ship that has better options or cook in your cabin (unless you brought self-heating mre's ;)
ОтветитьWouldn't the play have been to fly to Venice and then just....stay in Venice and enjoy a week there?
ОтветитьGAH not being able to get tea or coffee when i needed it and the smoking would be too much for me
ОтветитьJust about to go on the carnival luminosa and I see this 😳
ОтветитьA water package! 😂😂😂
You are truly the cheapest person on the planet!!
The only cruise I've been able to go on was when I was around 7-8 years old and my brother who's two years older than me went too. It was horrible. There was pretty much nothing for us to do. I don't remember the type or the name, but the older kids' clubs didn't let us in because we were too young, and our dad who'd taken us on the ship left to do his own thing most of the time. So we mostly hung around in the cabin for 3 days.
The ONE thing I looked forward to was the pizza eating contest and it was canceled and everyone was limited to two slices EACH because the crew members didn't anticipate the sheer number of kids wanting to stuff their faces with pizza. Highlight of the cruise? Watching my brother doodle pictures on paper and watching tv.
