I don’t get it. Most videos I see folks are touching their metals. But I read people always bitching not to do it online. What’s the truth behind this? I have bars and I was always touching them and now I’m worried about them. I just got a round from secondary market that looks all weird, anything I should do with that?

40 ounces is hardly worth it in a boom bust world. Silver can be much more easily redeemed than gold which fluctuates in hundreds of dollars. A couple of silver coins could fill up your tank or buy you food. Silver has a magic lustre and those with cash might just buy it when approached.

Silver is for poor people who can't afford gold.

I'm a relatively new silver buyer and my silver I usually buy in 20 increments, the most common being 100 at a time because that is much cheaper. I love SD bullion because my bars come encased in plastic, and my coins come in a tube if they are in lots of 20's.

When I got a good job at a bank was to pay off my $40000 and credit card debt. I did that in 6 months. Then my next goal was to buy 100 oz per month which I did for the next 2 years.

mid-2023 and I would advise 60 oz or more, and quick. Inflation will explode very soon. As it is, we've had 8% in '21, 8-9% in '22... And thats if you don't count food&fuel.

Just curious...would you consider significant assets people may already have like quality Sterling Silver dinnerware, tea/coffee servers, trays, etc as part of that 40 ounce goal? (Sterling Silver should be approx 92% silver by weight, as I understand it).

I've been watching for while now and came across this older video and had to comment because when I originally saw this video I literally just started stacking and had a couple 1 oz rounds and some random pre 1964 coins and that's it. I then set this exact goal of getting 40 1 oz coins and now, about a 5-6 months later I'm approaching the 50-60 mark and I did it by going to my local coin shop and buying 2-3 rounds a week and also ingot a change jar that when it gets full I take it to my bank to cash it in and then I spend it all on silver rounds...

Personally started go stack silver as a way of diversifying from stocks.

I have 2 bars of 250 gms each, 1 bar of 100 gms, and 4 coins of 100 gms each. Total 1000 gms with 999 purity. Looking forward for silver to drop around $ 19 - $ 22 so can add another 1000 gms. My first 250 gms bar came at price around 10,500 INR almost decade back. Roughly comes at $ 16.4 per troy ounce.

Where should one start in stacking? One beautiful ounce (or there about). I never leave the home without my well patinated AU Peace Dollar. I like to touch it, look at it, hand it to people and very occasionally, flip it. I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, every stacker started with that one beautiful piece of silver.

I bought 50 maple leafs a year ago to start. I just bought 14oz private cash deal on a Sunday. Two reasons. One being responsible with my cash and having some stashed and two.. being in the right place at the right time I got 4 eagles 3 maples leafs a 2oz td round and 4 td 1oz bars and one beaver 1oz bar for 400 Canadian so 28.47/ ounce Canadian or 21.02/ ounce USD. I was happy to help them out. No dickering! I paid what they asked for it. They were very happy and so was I.

Got 80oz this month. I'm just starting. Got another 80oz coming in soon. 160oz should be a good start for 16 ten-oz bars of .999 silver. Wish I got 10oz each week in the last 20yrs. Very late start. Better than letting it sit in the bank and lose.

Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol

Just started buying maybe a month ago. My goal is 20 rounds, 20 bars, 20 eagles, 1 ounce gold by end of year. Silver is done now onto gold! Expensive part but excited to get there!

i love to buy the kookaburras, they always go way up in price over the years and some are way high in price and i can never figure why. the 2004 is going for $145 and 2003 is going for $68. i got 262oz silver so far and 63 are the kooks.

Like he says the inability to just spend the silver outright is an invaluble savings asset. Funny when I first started stacking I was worried about what I would do in a crisis, how would I get rid of the stuff, but now I just thank God I will have some silver in a crisis. Fiat currency is all well and good, but it goes through your fingers so fast. I remember the first time I got an ounce of gold, the feeling of security it gave me. When I finnally got it in my hands I thought, gee I guess I won't have to worry ever about being absolutley broke, if I had an emergency that Gold would always be a thousand dollars for me if I really needed it. Such a sense of security and defensive savings.... Needless to say I still have that first gold peice and slowly it adds up. Because you don't spend it rather you put it in a safe and forget it's there. Over time it gets bigger and bigger, wheather you are just starting out, or are a long time stacker, gold and silver seems to be for me anyway, the only way I can save money! It is a great defense against hard times, and over time will make a poor man rich.

I like the idea of having enough silver for every ounce of gold. So if I have 2 ounces of gold, then I will have (approximately) 160 ounces of silver. (Assuming 1/80 ratio). I’m not OCD about hitting the ratios, more just a guideline that I like.

It takes a lot to reach a 1000 ozs I no longer have what I did because of financial issues
But buying a fifty oz bar and several kilos a month it will still take you close to a year

I actually think 40 ounces is a good starting point too, now that i think about it. I am way beyond that nowadays, but that can be reached in a young age with little extra doing. Wish i started earlier (as with any investment - if you want to stay moderately wealthy, start young).

I bought a little bit in 2015 , Then 2016 I made the goal of one thousand ounces.
Luckily by 2020 I passed that goal .

I started stacking silver 11 months ago and my goal was to fill 2 60-coin cases, one for coins and one for rounds. I filled my coin case and am very close to filling the rounds case. I also bought some bars so I am over my goal of 120 oz. I'm very proud of myself and my new goal is 500 oz. I've also decided to give silver coins as gifts for my grandkids. Hopefully they catch the silver stacking bug!

i have 35 ounces so far but i am getting a job in the next 2 weeks and i livw with my parents, dont pay for rent, groceries, utilities, medication or anything besides by $90 TMobile phone bill every month. literally EVERYTHING else can go directly towards investing into silver!! i am going to start off part time at this job, and i did the math and i will be able to spend at least $300 per week on silver, and then when i go full time in a month or two or three, i will be able to invest at least $550 into silver every single week!! and then trust me, when silver skyrockets to astronomical values after this big collapse of the old system, when the new system is brought in, i will proudly sell my silver and become and instant multi multi multi millionaire!! I will be worth well into the 8 figures and possibly even 9 figures!! I will EASILY be able to surpass 200 300 400 or even 500 ounces of silver!! Trust me, i am in a very unique, rare and extraordinarily lucky scenario!! I shall be king, and FAR FAR richer than everyone else i know and they will all be jealous of me!!
