I'm new to the entirety of demonology, was the exorcism you changing all the clocks to the ghost's time of death?

In hard mode, does the ghost ever give out all 3 clues to narrow it down to 1 ghost? I've been playing Hard Mode and I haven't had luck in finding all 3 clues. Do you have to get 1 or 2 clues and then read descriptions of the ghosts that are available to guess from?
