against larvae I bought Bacillus Thuringiensis subsp. Israelensis 1000_ITU/mg, a bit expensive though!
in very pure rainwater, they don't lay teir eggs. They prefer tanks or buckets with old, muddy water, with leaves and other organic rotting "nutrients" and algae in it. There Moskitos lay eggs and after 10 days You would get those twistling Larvae diving up and down!

If you get the chance, look at a mosquito under a microscope. The eyes prove that these are intelligent bugs.

REally dumb ideas all the way around. A toddler could both drown and become poisoned while being around a pail like that while your head is turned. Mosquito incubation time: is from 8 - 10 days. Never leave any kind of standing water outside near your house and yard including inside a cardboard box. No matter what you add to it. Unless you are sure a container with water in it is going to attract enough birds to it at the same time standing water including having a gold fish pond in your back yard is not a good idea.

Mosquitos , flies, fat flies, cockroaches ,crickets are pests we can do without. As well as mice and rats. They cause lots of damage.

They do tend to outsmart all of us on Earth and don’t discriminate & don’t see borders. For inside use, I keep a spray bottle filled with alcohol to spray above them, not at them. And they go down like little helicopters. Wet wings don’t fly. They’re momentarily stunned & I smack them. Love all comments! Thanks for info!

One thing to understand about a trap using yeast... a few days in the sun and it is going to smell like a baby's diaper with a mess in it. It is also going to take up a lot of your time maintaining it. This type of solution is good for a farm, if you have many acres to cover

I am very happy I came across your video. The mosquitos last year were bad, this year worse. Desert summers are mostly to hot to open up, however toward the beginning and end there are days & evenings we can open up. I dare not due that now as they have gotten so bad. Being we are warm most year round I really need something to help. I am going to give this a try as I really want to open up. For my house plants I use Neem powder in the water, I bottom water and let the plant take up what it needs, so there is standing water for a short time. At least if they lay then the offspring will not be able to produce. Thank you for putting up this video. Have a great day.

Great video. Late October, UK and I've never seen so many mosquitoes and gnats, they're getting in the house and making life a misery - eaten alive. Several traps and preventatives work for awhile, but your ideas seem well worth a try✌️👍💜🤞😊

I’ve tried this without the box and I only caught a small number of mosquitoes. I think the cardboard box help contain and diffuse the carbon dioxide slowly instead of the gas being blown away immediately from the wind. I will try to set this trap again in a cardboard box this time and get back to you.
