WordPress Redirect Plugin To 301 Redirect Pages & Posts| WP Learning Lab

In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to use a popular WordPress redirection plugin. In a previous tutorial (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrFeQod-O2Q) I showed you how to do this using the SEO by Yoast plugin. Since the creation of that video, the Yoast team moved the redirection functionality to the premium version of their plugin. So, I decided to show you a free alternative.

With this redirection plugin you can create:

1. 301 permanent redirect (aka 301 redirect)
2. 302 temporary redirect (aka 302 redirect)
3. 307 temporary redirect (aka 307 redirect)
4. meta refresh redirect (aka meta redirect)

You can use any of these to redirect a page, redirect a post, redirect url, redirect web address, redirect to a different page, redirect to a different post, redirect to a different domain, etc.

Once the plugin is installed all you have to do is go to the WordPress editor for the page you want to redirect and in the "Quick Post/Page Redirect" metabox enter the type of redirect you want and the destination URL. Then check the box, "make active" and click on "Update" to save the changes.

That post will now redirect to a different WordPress post or redirect to a different WordPress page or redirect to a different URL.

This redirection plugin also adds a link to the left hand admin menu where you can add multiple redirects in one simple admin area

So if you want to redirect WordPress post or redirect WordPress page I recommend you try out this plugin to see if it fits your needs.
