It's so fucking good, and made me realize that Robert Pattinson is a legit acting heavy.
ОтветитьThis movie was so grounded in reality that I actually thought Batman would lose or even die in the end. Not many superhero movies can make you feel that way because the heroes are so larger than life, but in this movie, Batman is so human and imperfect, that you actually worry about him
ОтветитьI didn’t like the realism inconsistency, like the bridge and also the bomb
ОтветитьVery late to the party but I loved the way Gotham was depicted in this movie it wasn’t just Chicago in winter it felt like a real crime ridden city with a distinct look
Ответитьi dont know why people are upset about the riddler. i thought this was a smart and realistic take, like honestly if you killing people because they cant solve a riddle you gotta have some form of autism. (but honestly it makes sense people with autism typically get treated like idiots so i could safely assume the riddler has been made fun of all his life for being dumb and this is a cope.(just some head cannon))
ОтветитьI like how they really showed his detective work
ОтветитьChicago beauty makes no sense, Gotham is baised on New York
ОтветитьThis movie was a breath of fresh air, I haven't seen a good super hero movie in a long time and I can Not wait until the mezco figure of the batman is released!
ОтветитьYeah. Its the best...ita a raw 70s style gritty crime film. Denny O'Neil would be honored
ОтветитьRobert Pattinsons Batman is the scariest Batman we’ve ever gotten he’s someone who you don’t want to mess with and who’s bad side you don’t want to get on and he’s also someone who feels like he’s always watching. I’m sure that’s what Matt Reeves intended
ОтветитьAnybody hating on this movie doesn’t understand Batman
ОтветитьI laughed when I saw them bringing out yet another Batman movie. However, I’ve watched it twice. It’s brilliant, beautiful, gritty and perfect. Sorry Nolan but this one feels much more “comic book” and artistic, yet raw. You Must see.
ОтветитьI have to say, I hated Alfred in this movie. I enjoyed the overall movie, but I don't think I'll be watching it again.
ОтветитьDC is at its finest tackling much more grounded, almost indie approach to making films. Like joker, it’s a masterpiece. My all time fave Batman film. Joker is my second all time film lol
Ответить"All anyone cares about in this place are these white privilege assholes" - Zoe Kravitz
Anti-white racism on full display here in yet another link in the chain of endless seething hatred against white people.
As a kid growing up in the 90s & 2000s, I would often hear Zoe's dad's song Fly Away on the radio and TV, and never thought about race. I only ever saw people as people, and listened to good music no matter who it was by
Then everything changed when the Woke Nation attacked. Their assault on white people, and their desire to denigrate and destroy us by every means necessary got me hella shook, and seeking answers to why they want to erase white people from existence. I'm yet to find any, but this film The Batman is yet another clue
It is attacks like the above mentioned line that makes us increasingly more racially aware and alert
The entire film is for the trash purely for that line alone
Overall, The Batman is the closest competition for “The Dark Night”, which is a testament of the quality of this movie, it’s actors performance, the plot and the cinematography. However, two things could have been better:
- The movie could have been 20-30 mins shorter
- The riddler is just perfect but the way it was played, gave some vibes to the insanity of the joker’s trade mark laugh rather than the riddler’s one.
I really wonder if we will see a joker in the next installment of this movie.
i really liked how relatable this batman felt with the messy imperfection. also i feel like other batman’s are more memorable for how they defeat opponents, but i think this batman was most memorable for how he saves people in need
ОтветитьI liked how in batman actualy got a charecter arc and how a lot of focus was placed on his morality feeling and state of mind in contrast to a lot of ather batman movies where the villains took the spotlicht
ОтветитьIf this is a masterpiece, why is it feels like you're watching Christopher Nolan Batman version? Catwoman still using a gun instead of a whip which is VERY wrong! Where's Riddler's iconic line just like Joker iconic line from Christopher Nolan's film. And WHY squirrel 🐿️ shape cape instead Bat cape! And WHY the Batmobile looks like a Back to the Future Car and Fast and the Furious Car texture and shape! Why Robert STILL act as Edward Cullen like a MANNEQUIN! The way he talked to Alfred STILL the same act from the Twilight saga. I imagine Andy Serkis wearing Bella's wig and a costume haha! And when Zoe revealed about her father and wanted to revenge for mom her act and the tone of her VOICE sounds similarity from Halle berry's act! And there's no CHEMISTRY between them so much better Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Keaton chemistry as Batman and Catwoman and Zoe's Catwoman mask was awful she looks a kidnapper\robbery NOT a fully Catwoman looks. Riddler looks like joining The Purge gang and The Stranger gang, Riddler's MASK. Riddler voice sounds 100% Tom Hardy's role from Dark Knight Trilogy (I forgot character name). Is this a MASTERPIECE to YOU because for ME, this is PARODY, this is SQUIRREL MAN THE MOVIE.Go ahead delete this comment or dislike cause you never know in the future you're realized this is not the Batman movie. Same you realized before from the Twilight saga. RED FLAG!!!!
ОтветитьI'm almost always with you 100%, but I must disagree with you about Giacchino's lumbering, monotonous, directionless score. I kept not waiting to see Batman because it meant more of the terrible theme. I've seen high school short films scored better than The Batman. Giacchino is officially hit or miss for me, I gave him a pass on Rogue One.
ОтветитьIt wasn’t very good at all.
ОтветитьI do think anyone who is missing the playboy show of Bruce Wayne should remember how young this Batman is, there is time for him to decide that there is benefit to using a persona as Bruce to further his aims, but currently he only sees himself doing anything of worth as Batman.
ОтветитьMy wife says you sound like Tina from Bob’s burger. Also you have an incredible eye for the little things that make these movies great.
ОтветитьI thought it was beautiful. I thought Pattinson's Batman/Bruce Wayne was perfect. You are right, he is Batman disguised as Bruce Wayne. I thought Paul Dano was Brilliant. Schizophrenic people usually aren't super charismatic like Jim Carrey or the Arkham video games Riddler is. I felt like Dano was much more realistic. I didn't know it was Paul Dano before I saw the movie, he had his mask on for like at least the first half of the film. All you can see are his eyes. I was looking at his eyes the first hour or so and I was thinking "I know that actor! Who is it?!" And then when he took off his mask I was like ahh, of course it's Paul. He's one of the best actors working today IMO and he isn't even 40. Also, I didn't know Collin Farrell was Penguin until the closing credits, he also did a great job. Fantastic film.
ОтветитьI’ve read Batman since a kid in the 80s , I’ll watched this 6 times trying to see it through everyone’s eyes. While it’s a pretty good mystery movie it’s just not an interesting Batman movie for me
ОтветитьI loved bats struggling and not executing things perfectly. It showed his humanity
ОтветитьI love the eyeliner look. It's beautiful
ОтветитьIn my opinion, the ending scene where Riddler meets the Joker should have been replaced with one hinting that Bruce is finally coming out of the shadows, using his wealth for the good of Gotham, and starting a real Renewal project. This Joker scene was unnecessary sequel bait.
Ответитьit was a pretty film but not well made the writing was attempting to be deep but the complexity of the movie was like abstract art often meaninglessly complex emotionally and not as deep as the writer thought it was. The cinematography was great the mood setting dragged but was effective but the writing while debatably contained depth was still very boring too long and the acting felt the same deep emotions but boring detective Gordon completely missed the target I hardly remember Alfred and what the heck was up with Catwomans black supremacist comment her acting was pretty good and her political racial bias was incorrect but was actually refreshing because I was so bored being able to criticize that moment kinda made it more entertaining. The ending was ridiculous side characters had 0 depth and lacked motive and the batman was completely ineffective basically it was like a wannabe Seven except boring and on top of that betrayed the batman character by making him incompetent and counterproductive. The movie ended up being just watching a plan work out perfectly with 0 obstacles but it wasn't creative enough in how it accomplished that. The Penguin was pretty cool and Carmine Falcon was cool until he got ended kinda anticlimactically. but most of the movie was anticlimactic. The movie is a work of art but not well written nor acted greatly the connections to the lore or even popular fan wisher are also lacking so yeah it's cool too have on in the background muted or to watch when you want to shut your brain off but not a great movie.-_-
ОтветитьNolan's Batman has logic. Period
ОтветитьThe film sucked, a turtle was faster than this film.
Ответитьliterally nothing. worst Bruce Wayne. worst detective batman, less than ten minutes of action and do not get me started on the bdsm gimp riddler. for 3 hrs nothing happens .
ОтветитьRrree
ОтветитьI've waited for so long to have a true detective batman movie. Dear god, did I want it so very much. In high school I would dream of a trilogy with riddler as the first main villain, to be followed by joker and penguin in movies 2 and 3. And it just so happens that I get exactly, and I mean precisely, what I asked for. Pattinson is my perfect batman and bruce, I doubted when I first heard the casting. But I'm so glad he proved my dumbyself wrong.
ОтветитьAnyone who cannot disconnect the actor to films he previously made and not focus of the current film he's watching is a complete idiot and probably has a mind of 13 year old kid. 😊 For me, this is the best Batman movie so far. 👍 I'm not a fan of kiddie type Batman movies even when I was still young.
ОтветитьThe movie isn't great as everyone says it was. I didn't enjoyed it, because I couldn't see shit in the movie because it's so 🕶️
ОтветитьThe question shouldn't be what makes a good Batman movie, but who makes a good Batman movie. And I will say that Tim Burton's vision was very cartoonish, not really as grounded aside from Michael Keaton's darker Batman, but it was much more like it was cartoony. And you gotta give Nicholson props for his version of the Joker. Nolan's is much more grounded, more believable, and had that big movie blockbuster feel. Then Reeve's Batman was very darker, and grounded, but is more like a bro noire type of crime drama. All are great in their own ways. And it's not right to compare the each version to the others. They are we all different films. All very different types of BB a ty man movies. And all are gr we at movies. Minus everything after BATMAN RETURNS, after the Danny DeVito Penguin vs Keaton's BATMAN in the Burton's version good BATMAN movies imo stop after the second film. Nolan's trilogy was excellent and Dark Knight is still arguably the best and most watchable out of all the BATMAN films. And this new darker BATMAN film was great as well. All are different takes. And all are great. And 2019s The Joker, which is in the BATMAN universe even featuring Thomas Wayne and a child Bruce Wayne, was the most darkest, and just a very great character and psychological study of the Joker possibly and how he became to he Joker. All films are we great and do highly recommended, but definitely not comparable.
ОтветитьThe Batman was such a good re-take on the character. Pattinson was very convincing as a brooding, broken young man who never really "got over" losing his Parents in such a violent way. This is a traumatized, believable Bruce Wayne who has to grow and learn how to rise BEYOND that pain, doing what he does because it helps some people even if it can't help everyone. The Riddler in this film? Fucking terrifying and a fresh reinvention of the character. I love the Riddler and have long wanted the character to grow further, go harder, become darker than what he is so often portrayed as. I always thought he'd make a good Jigsaw-type murderer, and yet not even the comics ever seem to take him there. This film WENT there, and went there in a politically relevant way, creating a nightmarish mix between something like QAnon and something like Jigsaw, and it was just so potent and perfect. Then there's the version of Gotham created here. it's perfect, like, literally perfect, a backdrop for a solid detective film which is what Batman should be. I was so very impressed with this film, and I can't wait to see a sequel to it.
ОтветитьA sparkling Batman? Nah.
ОтветитьThis Batman movie and Pattinson's portrayal of it made me love Batman.
ОтветитьI started filming because I wanted to make movies. Lost interest somewhere in there and went commercial. Saw the cinematography on this film and dragged me back 20 years and made me want to make films again
ОтветитьI think The Batman is really cool. Definitely not the best Batman movie, but it’s one of the best. I love the way Gotham looks. It’s not too dark, but it’s not too bright either. It’s a moderation of the two. I also like the soundtrack, but I still prefer Danny Elfman’s score. That score will always be the definitive Batman theme. But anyway, I also love how Batman doesn’t kill. I mean we saw that in The Dark Knight Trilogy. I’m just saying that I am glad we’re seeing more of it in this movie. Batman, no matter what the circumstances are, should not kill anyone, not even his enemies. If he does kill his enemies, he’s no better than them. Oh yeah and I love the Batsuit. His ears are not too short, nor are they too long. I love how they got the detective aspect of Batman right. The other Batman movies barely addressed that aspect.
But yeah, great job Matt Reeves. The Batman is a great Batman movie, and one of the best superhero movies ever made.
The story could have used some tweaking and cuts, but this is the gritty depiction of batman I've been looking for. Batman, imo, is a detective with expensive gadgets. The Nolan movies turned him into just another super hero. Which is fine, but they got rid of the detective part, or at least pushed it to the side. This movie felt like the detective part was the priority making it all the more engaging.
They're obviously different flavors of the same thing. I won't stick my nose up to either, but given the choice between the two, I'll take this world.
The movie is a bit cold, non epic, but stylish
ОтветитьI did not like this movie
Ответитьthis is the best batman movie hands down
ОтветитьThe line between Batman and the Riddler could not be more clear. Riddler targets innocent people, Batman targets those who target innocent people. It’s that simple.
Ответить
