Regarding Butcher's writing from after his abduction by Homelander:
I think (hope) the 60° is the position of the sun in the sky, not the temperature.
With the position of the sun, the direction of the wind on a given day and a weather card, you could try and pinpoint the location you were at.
Even though the letter after 60° could be a c or an e (for east) , 60°celsius would be a really, really harsh day. Don't think NA had these temperatures even in Death Valley.
