Don't learn kbm gaming on tarkov? I literally bought my first rig with this in mind, 1.5 weeks in and that cut bro, you're not wrong. Also agreed on customs is fuckin hard and I know the map OK, I'm just unmatched right now! I'm too defensive in ways I think. Lot of offline practicing and creating a mountain of corpses with my player skavs should get me there 😂

Tarkov is honestly very good to 'learn how to shoot'. New players will have better chance to get good at Tarkov than CS:GO. I think anyone can get good(ish) at Tarkov, but not necessarily at CS:GO or CoD or something. I don't like multiplayer shooters, none, at all, but I like RPGs and survivals and leveling up your PMC, getting gear (now leveling up hideout) was very appealing to me and I managed to do alright, eventually. Game is extremely versatile when it comes to ways of approaching fights plus it's much more tactical (and down the road will be even more, I think) so I think a shooter noob, like myself, has better chance to get other player here than in any other shooter.

Tagged and cursed for hatchlings is a godsend for newbies, so easy to lure in and kill a scav npc and get a set of scav gear that is likely better than what you can buy at lvl1 anyway, and its free. The extra post death damage for dying without a main weapon is a bit silly now that its not really profitable for non-newbies to run hatchling for high value loot anymore which was the actual problem with hatchlings, but healing gives xp and in-raid healing is not hard to find.

I generally like your videos, but this one is without doubt the worst. Incredibly elitist. I play Tarkov, have 2500 hours in the game and would consider myself a below average player. I have a 35% kill rate, mainly because I don't pressure myself to do tasks and play at my own speed. But to suggest that players should play another game if they lose a majority of fights is just flat out toxic. In Tarkov, where ammo choice is everything, and one-hit kills are commonplace, a far better piece of advice would have been, "use headphones, play slow, never run when you have cover, blend in to the environment and snipe from the shadows until you become more proficient". And that is my more positive advice for anyone disappointed by yours. Peace out.

wow I know your vids are usually short and sweet but this was at a fast enough pace for someone with less then a year experience can really take in some criticism. The idea of going to the spot where you died in offline mode to see what you could have done better was such a simple but fresh idea for someone who really like to improve upon there mistakes!

i would say play customs if your new, you get into more pvp fights that u need to learn if u avoid pvp your not doing yourself any favours and theres more geared players on interchange going for killa so u have more chance of running into a geared player on interchange than customs

Sorry but I disagree on this one, I was a console player for 20+ years and recently switched to PC, tarkov is by far the easiest pc game I've played as far as shooting to kill, the recoil is almost non existent compared to games like PubG or even COD, the time to kill is also much faster. 95% of tarkov skill is intergrated in map knowledge. The only way to survive more is to play more and learn more angles/routes/general map knowledge. The biggest thing for new players to understand is how loud they are running around, almost every streamer seems to sprint everywhere they go...which is fine when you know what your doing but learning when/where to be quiet will net more gains than any other thing in Tarkov

Personally I have found that the best scav map is reserve to be honest. It is relatively easy to figure out where you are (mainly using the dome for direction), wiki map is awesome and easy to understand, has PvP firefights available, tonnes of loot but the best thing is the extracts. CP fence, heating pipe and hole in wall is easy to use and find and have no weird requirements unlike its PMC extracts. Although the underground bunker is fairly difficult to navigate though (as a beginner) but this is my personal experience and preference.

I like what you said, but I think Customs is easier than Interchange for beginners. Interchange to me just has too many angles, and you can get shot from so many different places if you're careful of where you're going, making a difficult place for beginners.

Even though customs does have a lot of choke points, it's a very easy map to learn with many easy to get stashes. I think that learning Customs can be challening, prepares you for what is to come better than interchange.

Well... Maybe I'm too experienced in eft (registered last August), but I think, that customs is much more balanced and interesting than interchange. And it's simply not eft when you feel relaxed! And on customs you can go relatively safe way if you are scared or don't want to risk your loot. While interchange is just a boring labyrinth with awful lighting.

BSG: Be a rat, get loot, but don't be rats.
Playerbase: Nooo don't be a rat!
Rats: Haha loot go woosh!
Real life combat: If I die I don't need to think about my gear or anything really. I'm dead, but at least I got ten billion buddies to cover my ass before that happens.

Hey, you can’t run in with just a pistol and armor btw you still get set as tagged and cursed(scavs hunt you) the thing that sets it is not bringing in a firearm.

A good trick for needing to kill scavs on a map is bring in just a pistol and run to a corner and wait for scavs to rush you.

Ihave a different strat for new players: i always scav on interchange. Pmc night customs because the chokepoints are avoidable and so many tasks are there... learning customs is very important IMO. The xp you get from those early tasks is invaluable to low skill players to hit lev 10 and 15 asap

Man i watched you before i even started playing this game, and 400 hours later it really shows how much these tutorials help out, last wipe got to level 44 easily and had a good stash although i didn't win most of my gun fights, this wipe already level 35 and doing great in terms of stash and money and im almost done with punisher for my epsilon and my kd's sitting at 2.5 unlike last wipe ,and yet i still learn new things from you. Great job and keep up the good work cause these tutorials really help out beginners.

Just remember: during your first raids there will be raids where you’ll kill fully geared players while using a stock sks and you’ll feel like you got good at the game and there will be raids where you’ll get absolutely shitted on by a more experienced player and you’ll feel like all your previous kills were just lucky ones and that you are the shittiest player on tarkov. This game (mainly at the start of your career) is an emotional rollercoster, just keep pushing through the ocean of frustration and you’ll see that this game isn’t just hiding in a bush waiting for a fully geared squad to pass by.

Interchange,Shoreline and Customs are usually the first maps i would recommend to a beginner all of them has pros and cons with Interchange and Customs you're more likely to find a player that's really geared compared to Shoreline (just dont go to resort) but in Shoreline at least for me was really hard to navigate at first (shoreline was my first map) it took me weeks to learn where i was
EDIT: Nice videos btw short with lots of infos)))
