Thank you for explaining and showing things the way everyone else doesn’t!!!! Need to get the exact same head unit out, and nowhere online could help me, until I found this video!! Well done!!
Ответитьgreat mod and videos explaining, Cudo's to you!
ОтветитьHow do you know if you have a head unit?
Ответитьwow, saved the day, exact info and demo I was needing, thanks!!
ОтветитьI know you did this video a while ago, but just wanted to say thanks for all the content you put out. We did the stereo trick in our new jay flight and it worked awesome. We also used your sanitization video and many others. Sooooo helpful for newbies like us! Thankyou so much for taking the time to do these videos!
ОтветитьI have dish satellite.. Is there a way to set up speakers for that?
ОтветитьExcellent video, straight to the point and very easy. Thank you for taking the time to show us
ОтветитьI have the same head unit. Different model of TCL screen. Bought a firstick hoping to just run Netflix. Hooked it up to the arc hdmi port plugged it in. Have video but no audio. Went thru all the settings and it won't work. Is this maybe the mod I could do and just selected a different output selection?
ОтветитьAny recommendations on upgrading to BluRay?
ОтветитьFriendly Reminder: Kill the power inside your RV whenever working with electricity
ОтветитьHow do you connect HDMI cable’s to the stereo?
ОтветитьYour lousy stereo LACKS an "ARC" channel. Wow, strange, even JENSEN has that! LOLOLOLOL
ОтветитьGood info, thanks for sharing. I can't hear the TV over the AC when I use my Roku. I am doing this modification asap.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you for posting! I've been wanting to take mine off to see if there is an 'HDMI Out' back there. I'd rather use one of those instead of the 1970's RCAs, lol. Please keep the videos coming.
ОтветитьIf your TV and Headunit have a HDMI ARC connection, there is no need for what show.
ОтветитьOK, our RV when delivered had no sound from the TV through the head unit. When I pulled the head unit out, I found that the factory guys had plugged the audio OUT on the TV into the audio OUT on the head unit!!! After moving the plugs to the proper location on the head unit, it worked like a charm. I tried to convince the dealer to contact the manufacturer that they were wiring their RVs incorrectly, but I don't think anything ever came of it.
In any event, the Furrion electronics found in these RVs are just plain crap. After a few hours, the speaker output on the head unit become intermittent and then completely failed. I can no longer get any sound out of it. A quick Google search confirms this is a common problem, and although some folks have had their units replaced, the replacement units have failed, also. In most cases, like ours, the unit is just out of warranty (natch!) so no joy, there. Frankly, I wouldn't want another Furrion unit.
I spent some time researching for a replacement that would mount in the double-high standard hole, and found that there are exactly about 3 different brands, all of which have terrible reviews. This is horrible, to spend tens of thousands for a nice RV, and to have the manufacture put really cheap electronics in it. Really just how good do expect a head unit to be when you get them on Amazon for sometimes less than $100. Considering that electronics sell for about ten times the cost of parts, you can see where that leads.
At the moment, we are using a home 5.1 stereo system that I've tossed into the overhead cabinet. It came with a small subwoofer and five satellite speakers, and for such a small speaker system, it sounds light years better than the crap speakers that came with the RV.
I'd really like some name-brand electronics manufacturer (Sony, Samsung, etc) to step up and make a quality
system for the RV. It really doesn't need to be a 12V system, since the TVs these days all run off of 120 VAC anyway.
What is the best way to increase the sound levels. Something that won't drain the batteries. Has anyone added a small amp to the unit.
ОтветитьGreat video thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьJust checking if you had gotten the Ruku video created. My new to mePatriot/Stone River didn't come with a TV.
ОтветитьRoss, thanks for this video. We did this on the road because it was so easy!
ОтветитьWe utilize the “ARC” HDMI option to run the television sound through the stereo. We’ve also replaced the interior and exterior speakers with Polk Audio marine speakers. Really sounds good now.
ОтветитьCan you stream from your smart phone? To the tv
ОтветитьYou do a great job with explaining things in your videos! We appreciate you sharing your knowledge! Danny & Lynn
ОтветитьWhat is the other RCA cable that is disconnected used for?
ОтветитьThank you again, for sharing this on my post on FB.. I have a Jensen btw... You rock!!!
ОтветитьNice! Now I can make the adjustments. **
ОтветитьGreat video!! Condolences on your loss. All dogs go to heaven.
ОтветитьDoes it work while streaming. You just mentioned cable.
ОтветитьGood tips. These head units aren't that user friendly! lol
