Mixed messages. Whenever accusations like this arise, my first question is, "Had the woman sent out mixed messages, encouraging the man to believe that she was sexually receptive?" So the woman who agreed to "come over for a cuddle"...I would suggest that amounts to a mixed message. Did she really imagine that a cuddle could not possibly lead to sexual arousal? That in accepting a cuddle she was not implying being receptive to that possibility? Old-fashioned propriety at least has the virtue of clarity. I believe that it is unfair to the man to muddy the communication with mixed messages. Women must be realistic about the urgency inherent in male sexuality. Do not encourage arousal and then reject it..
