Thanks you’re the best
ОтветитьI’ve always been scared of oil changes because of how easy it is to screw things up but your video makes everything really straightforward.
The jiffy lube down the street wanted to charge $100 for the oil change ….my god. It used to be like 60-75 (which is still a lot).
I really need to buy the rest of the tools i need like the shop towels, the tool to remove the oil filter, and a pan to catch the oil.
Just wish i had a great jack like the one you have. For now im just gonna have to settle for the crappy spare tire jack
I had one oil filter that wouldn't click into place. Luckily I had like 4 stocked up so I just threw that one out😊
ОтветитьDo you know how much of oil in Liters a 1ZR-FE 1.6i 2017 Corolla engine needs?
ОтветитьThank you!!! I dont need my husband anymore
ОтветитьThis helped a lot thank you
Ответитьim currently under the car and my filter remover doesn't fit,car oil is already drained👀
ОтветитьMine was tightened to death couldn’t take it off now I will have to go to Toyota so they can loosen it
ОтветитьSo many more things to do. I miss the simplicity of changing the oil on my Chrysler K-car. All you have to do is reach down and unspin it with your hand. No stupid crush washers, no stupid o-rings that you have to deal with- one reusable drain plug and you can put the filter on and off by hand.
ОтветитьThanks bro!
ОтветитьThanks George Lopez
ОтветитьWhat size tool did you use for oil filter
ОтветитьI was using the 0W-20 but noticed in hot weather the engine was a little noisy. Switched to 15w-30 and she's mint 👌
ОтветитьMake sure to lubricate the O ring to prevent from leakage
ОтветитьGreat videos with explanations ❤
ОтветитьGood video thank you
ОтветитьThank you for the video.
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial. The garage near me recently jacked up the price about $40 for an oil change. You're putting cash back in pocket! Much appreciated!
ОтветитьWhy would toyota not just use regular canister filter?
ОтветитьIt's really annoying that this doesn't have a normal filter. I don't wanna have to use a special tool to do a simple oil change
ОтветитьGreat video 👍
ОтветитьWhere's the oil filter located, passenger's side or driver's side?
ОтветитьWhat size is that cap for the filter the one I got doesn’t grip
ОтветитьThanks it helped alot
ОтветитьAnd Remember to Reset the Countdown WARNING LITE too!
ОтветитьYou forgot to reset the maintenance for oil change light
ОтветитьI've been doing all the maintenance on my cars for 20 years. I use some excellent software called Automotive Wolf to monitor the maintenance schedules, parts, expenses and fuel economy. I have it setup to send me text reminders when any maintenance is due. My Corolla currently has over 250,000 miles and still going strong! :)
ОтветитьMy 2014 Corolla is leaking a little bit of oils from the oil filter housing I think it might be that I have to replace the oil filter housing. This happened after I did my oils change
ОтветитьYou're lifting the car with your Jack in the wrong place
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Just one thing you forgot the clip in the filter housing. Cheers
ОтветитьWhy did your car only have like...a quarter quart of oil in it?mine burns hella oil but...it stays with oil in her
ОтветитьPlease what is the size of the filter switch?
ОтветитьDamn I had the right tool but I guess the place I went to prior over torqued my filter I couldn't get that mf off at all.
ОтветитьGood Informative video.
ОтветитьVery nice job. Is it important to replace the clip removed initially.
ОтветитьWhere is the clip you removed?
ОтветитьJust add all the oil in the bottle.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьWhat's the part number on the top left corner
ОтветитьI cannot take the fucking clip out for the oil filter
Ответить...my iM has a spin-on type filter....
Ответитьhow stupid to have to do all that
Ответитьwhat about the clip do you replace the clip or discard it thanks
ОтветитьAt what point did you replace that clip? Does it not need replacing?
ОтветитьThese things leave my uniform soaked. They’re so annoying
ОтветитьVery useful video :)
I have a small problem, if you can help me I would appreciate:
I have an Corolla from 2017, 1.6, valemantic, 132hp, 45.300 km on ODO. I bought this car second hand, from Germany.
Recently I've made oil change - 5w-30 they put me. They said that this is the correct oil viscosity for car age and km on ODO
I've seen that the owner manual preferred is 0w-20. I can used 5w-30, but after that to switch back to 0w-20.
I'm living in Romania. Temepratures during the winter can go to -10 Celsius, to +35 Celsius in the summer
Theoretically, they put correct oil for these conditions, but owner manual is recommending something else.
Questions and concerns:
They put the correct oil after all giving weather conditions?
If I have right now 5w-30 it will affect my car?
Should I switch back to the 0w-20 at the next oil change?
Hello, thank u for your great tutorials! I just replaced my old battery for my Corolla 2016 by myself with the help of your video. Now I’m studying how to do oil change. I have bought all the supplies needed. The oil filter replacement I bought from Toyota dealership shop looks different, it looks like it already come with a housing and filter together… what is the difference?
ОтветитьWhat if the new filter doesnt click? Old one did but the new OEM toyota filter wont. .?
ОтветитьThe oil filter should be removed first, because it takes much less time
to drain all of the oil out of the filter housing, than it does to drain
all of the oil out from the oil pan! I always allow at least one to two
hours to drain the oil from the drain plug! This way I get much more of
the old oil out than I could, if I only let it drain for say, fifteen minutes!
