Creating New Extension on FreePBX

I have FreePBX. After I set up the Outbound and inbound routes and a few softphones, I can dial among the extensions, I have my trunk registered, but my "IP trunks online" shows "0" so I can not make outbound calls. any suggestions? Thanks,
