“iOS is a trademark of Cisco and is used under license.” Wait what? Not sure if I missed something 🍎
ОтветитьCan this download apps and play video like Netflix?
ОтветитьSo Google are you killing half the apps on this hub like you're doing on the max, that people paid twice as much for????
ОтветитьSo does this only work with Google nest or it works with Google home also ? I want to be able to see my cameras from Google home
ОтветитьDoes the door bell have automatic detection?
ОтветитьMight fire my echo device. Doesn’t know anything
ОтветитьCan it track your sleep from across the room?
ОтветитьNiestety google nie wspiera języka polskiego. A może jestem w błędzie?
ОтветитьI have it, when it'll speak Ukrainian?
Ответитьcan you show how to add google calendar
Ответитьnah the chicken💀💀
Ответитьwhen can we expect 3rd gen?
ОтветитьHave it, been two weeks, it really isn't that great. Not smart enough. Some of the features are more geared towards niche functions and overall not very compatible with other smart devices.
ОтветитьWondering if you could do a video update on everything that Google has changed and removed from this platform. Specifically, these three features, primarily the first two.
01: In their most recent update, Google has removed visual responses on Google Nest Hubs and other home products with screens. For example, if you ask it to spell a word like "dyslexia" after the update, you will only receive a minor title response for three seconds, without a visual large format response lasting for more than 30 seconds. This means you won't see the word "dyslexia" spelled out on the screen anymore. Many dyslexics, including myself, relied on this feature, and it was a significant reason for purchasing this tool, which offered a desktop spelling system with a picture frame and other features.
02: Another change in the recent update is the removal of ethernet support for the 7 and 10-inch models. Previously, there was a micro USB on the white cover of the 7-inch model that allowed you to connect a USB to ethernet adapter. This feature provided a reliable IP address with fast response and eliminated the need to reacquire an IP address. Unfortunately, this capability has been disabled in the latest update.
03: Additionally, Google has removed good quality synchronized audio in their recent update. Previously, if you used ethernet, you could synchronize all your devices, including the Mini and standard Home speakers, without signal drops or random reacquisition issues. However, with the removal of micro USB ethernet support for the 10 and 7-inch models, achieving reliable synchronization has become challenging. Now, you are limited to using Wi-Fi for all devices, which is less secure. As a result, latency has increased, affecting the quality of audio responses. The unit's response is no longer accurate, even when I am in close proximity to the device, while other units further away respond instead, causing confusion.
04: To summarize, Google has removed support for dyslexics, eliminated secure network access via ethernet, and made it difficult or impossible to achieve perfect audio synchronization with zero milliseconds delay. There may be more changes that I haven't discovered yet.
05: So, for me, my 7-inch Google Nest Hub with a screen has now become primarily a picture frame, timer, and a minor home automation visual unit. In fact, since I have a computer in front of me that can perform all of these functions, except for visual spelling and audio synchronization, the practicality of the Nest Hub has significantly diminished.
Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences with these changes in the comments.
recent update ruined it so If you're dyslexic or a person who does not like Wi-Fi or person who has multiple units don't buy this they've ruined it
ОтветитьAs for the last three or four weeks now you have totally ruined Google nest 7 inch and probably even the 10 inch model with your f**** update to remove USB over ethernet and removed visual text response dyslexics use this thing for f**** displaying spelling of words
ОтветитьExploded
ОтветитьRIP MY GOOGLE NEST
ОтветитьI bought one of these products. Absolutely horrific. It's display was glitching within a year. Google's customer refused to give any compensation, or even any way to repair it. Save your peace of mind and buy an Alexa instead, or a Lenovo smart clock, those have a wireless charging dock for your smartphone as well.
ОтветитьPro tip: Don't watch this video if you have a Google speaker in the room with you. My house is going nuts around me right now.
ОтветитьI hope someone can help me as I'm running out of time, quickly. I have 4 Google nest wired cameras and the plan that's 12$ a month. What I need is to save footage/recording/clip that could be as long as an hour or 30 minutes. I did it once on my phone and for the life of me I cannot figure out how I did it. HELP....PLEASE! It's footage of my dog that died and I need it. I see people commenting and saying you can do it but HOW. I had a double concussion within one month of each other and unless I write it down I can't remember very well. I'd like to have it instead of being 10 30 second clips it would be a solid video. Help😓
ОтветитьDoes any smart switch can cooperate with google nest?
ОтветитьHow good is it on gaming setups
Ответитьdoes anyone know if this thing can show me outdoor air quality or run the app that does? That's the number one reason to own this thing in my house.
ОтветитьDO NOT PURCHASE! There is a very common well known issue of the screen just graying out. Cannot reset cannot do anything. Google customer service is piss poor. DO NOT PURCHASE
ОтветитьMy hub can not recognize the rooms of my home, reinstalled a few times and nothing
ОтветитьFor anyone who has… is this better or than Alexa? I want to change from amazons ecosystem
ОтветитьOnly problem is it has no battery. It needs to be connected all the time. I want to take my google nest hub from my bedroom to kitchen, living room, instead of buying x4 more
Ответитьuseless device.. we have smartphone
ОтветитьI don't think anybody really need it
ОтветитьPlease can Google add a robo face
ОтветитьLooks dumb
ОтветитьDoes the old nest cam work with it?
ОтветитьI have two of these together with the original Max. I also have nine original Apple HomePods, and I run them side-by-side throughout my place. As good as the HomePods are for music, I prefer using the Google Hubs for everything else. Google is more responsive and provides direct answers vs. Siri ‘I found this on the web, and I’ll send it to your iPhone.’
