Galaxy S22/S22+/Ultra: How to Add Reactions to Messages

My question is, is there a way to view which messages were "liked"?

What if I don't get that row of emojis when I hold down on the text?

I was able to do this when I initially got my phone, wife's phone is an iphone, I was able to like her sms...then after a while it does not do it anymore

So s21 ultra don't do it ?

I noticed you don't have a Heart Emoji either.. Seems stupid that they haven't provided the most used emoji react, nor a way to add it in..

can I change the emoji reactions?

It works exactly how he shows it, but, I need to change change or add those few options it gives me, how do I do that??

I was curious as well how to react to messages. On the S22 Ultra, go into settings, select "Apps", then scroll down to the "messages" app (there should be two) select the one that looks like a chat bubble with lines, select "messaging app" then select "messages" (the one with the chat bubble with lines) and set as the default app. This will allow you to react to messages.

That doesn't work for every text message, unfortunately.

I can do it directly to wife's phone and that's it. She can use it with all her contacts and we have the same s22

No, mine did it in the first few hrs i had it but stopped allowing it and i cant figure why

It can only be Samsung to Samsung I think. Or android to android. I thought I wasn't able to do it anymore but I just checked and was only able to do it with other android users

@ITJungles: can you please answer our questions on why this feature worked on your phone and not on our S22 ultra? I checked out your other videos which were usually very helpful to me, but not this one. 😞

Got my S22 yesterday and I was able to do this. Now today, it's gone. I have no idea why.

You can only react to a message from another Android user. You cannot react to a message sent from an iPhone.

i have the s22 ultra and i dont get an option to react to ANY sms i receive. i tried 4 different sms apps. verizon,samsung,google,and sms for fb messenger

This only works for us sending our messages....WHY would we react to our own mesages?!? Lol... that's what he did in the video

NOPE - I had this feature initially, and then it didn't have the feature anymore all of a sudden. We do not get the pop up bar with emojis to choose!!!

i honnesly hate my s22 ultra. i was all my life apple and i wanted to change and trust me i regret every day. there is a lot of thing that we can't do, impossible to add reaction to the messages, also impossible to have a group chat, the replies arrive separatly and create another group, completely insane. anyway i will get rid of it very soon
