Quick Question: Did you already know about this? Is this something that you're using?

I use ease in/out with After Effects. So, this is great, since I'm switching from Premiere to Resolve.

Is that cache the same as Premiere Pro's "render in to out"? Because damn, that's an annoying extra step here.

Is this free version? or Studio version? Can you please add the type of Davinci resolve (free or studio) in your video's titles?

currently using this to produce my next channel video so I can speed up and slow down as I alternate between building my DIY vocal booth at time-lapse speeds and slowing down to provide commentary on the project. Yours was the only training video I needed to get up and running with Da Vinci speed ramps, thank you!

I just wish it had the same kind of speed editing Adobe has in AE and Premiere, cause they're so smooth.

The thing you barely can do in DaVinci is matching clips to music. To sync it to the beat is impossible, cause the speed editing edits the timing aswell, so when you have lets say 5 points you want to sync and want to hit them on the beat perfectly and beat after beat, there's no way of doing this smoothly, at least i don't know how.

The important part is, when you have 5 keyframes and need them on the beat, when you edit the first one's speed the keyframes after will move in the timeline, instead of making them fit automatically. It's the biggest drawback for me, cause I work with music and syncing it a lot.

Adobe handles it differently and speeds it up or slows it down automatically, wish is amazing and fast, when you try to sync stuff to the beat and need the whole video so jumpcuts doesnt work..

I didn't know about (part of) this: especially the "deleting the clip cache." I do use 'smart render,' though.
It seems that regardless of the frame rate vs. shutter speed combinations ... or timeline frame rate I use, the slo-mo is always jittery. And, I am using a fast SD card. I do have to say that I've never tried the "speed warp" selection, though. My main need for slow motion and speed ramping is for shooting real estate videos and drone videos, where slowing down the speed it important. Will give it a try tomorrow Thanks for the post. Cheers, Chuck (N.E. Florida) : +)

Hey Ray I use Da Vinci, you mentioned creators using speed ramps to get from one scene to the other, this is what am trying to achive is there a quick way at the end of a clip to get to 2000% ramped into next clip? Feels very long using the retime curve method?

QUESTIONS:
I discovered that with linked clips - can't set a speed point which spans several clips and adjust speed that way. Apparently need to do each clip separately.

Also is there a way to go faster than 800% ?

Speed ramping visually is so much better than Premiere - but they do make the finding optical flow hard to find

If ur audio sounds weird when you do slow motion, I suggest you unlink the clip and audio and then later link it together so audio won’t get messed up

Using an iPhone, I recorded a sunrise using "slo-mo" instead of "time-lapse". The recorded slo-mo video is 1 hour and 8 minutes @ 240 fps and was trying to use DaVinci Resolve 17 to increase the speed so I can make the video faster and short between 30 and 60 seconds.

Can I do this by increasing the clip speed...?

Hello. On Davinci resolve 17 I have a bunch of problems. I load a new video as a project, I want to trim the video and speed some parts up. The speed of the clips gets

me nervous. So ,I select a part of the video that I want to speed up. I cut the part needed. Once I speeded up I want to play it, I put the cursor at the begin of video head

that was speeded up , but instead the part that I did cut to speed up, it gave me the entire video in speed modus. Or I see different part in the peace that recently has been cut; Get’s

me nuts. Same problems other day, when I render the video, you see different clips in the video that I did cut. Some times it jump over, and a part that has been
cut at the end gets somewhere in the middle or at the beginning of my video. At the very begin of using Davinci resolve everything seemed all right. This
instant I wished to delete davinci of my computer. Could you help me? Thank you.
