Hello I was thinking about getting that motor when it comes out.... but was wondering for a arrmia typhon running on 6s with the mamba monster x 8s esc ... if the 1515 2200 kv or that 1717 1650 kv would be a better choice for bashing with good speed and one that won’t overheat thanks 😊 hope somebody can help me

This motor HAS to go on the Limitless. It's a beast in this K8s, so I bet you'll beat your PB running 1650 kv on 8s. Can't wait to see that. You re the best!!!

That's impressive 👍 I have thought for a while that the K8S stock motor should be higher KV since it starts at 17t and people are gearing it up to 25. Plus they have the K8S set up for 5mm shaft and Mod1 gears. Proper 1/5 scale would be 8mm shaft and Mod 1.5 So I have been curious if a motor this size would be viable and it looks like it could be 👍

So one noob question, this motor will have more torque and less top end speed because of the kv. If the motor will have a higher kv it will have less torque but more top end speed?

What would be better for bashing in the infraction, the 1717 or the 2028??? Thanks

Thinking of picking this motor up from the LHS, have a Mamba X esc already. Wondering how people are fastening the esc though. I'm putting this in a Kraton EXB, am I really expected to use double sided tape? I don't see that lasting.

Dude, when you said it was ok for 8s, are you referring to the version that is sensored?
Or do you mean the 1717 motor in general, I have the xo1 motor black can version and also an 8s ESC.
I have been wondering if the motor can handle 8s as long as I keep it cool.

There must be something wrong with my 1717 i put the motor in my thunder tiger mt4 with 17/44 gearing and it had lag when it took off like it struggled pushing the gear which it shouldnt have.

I have been running an original 1717 from an xo1 for several years on 8s. I have it in my very large maverick Vader. I do have fans on it,and it never gave me any problems. I guess I just got lucky

I recommend that you put some lighter wheels on that, it would basically give more rpms and let your car really shine when the motor gives power. Those ones are just really heavy from my experience.

I didn't understand .help . I have zd dbx 1/7 with original motor is surpass 2000kv 4282 . I want to upgrade to 1717 but it's 1650 kv ! That will be dawn grade for my application ?not All of them rated 6s lipos . Iam lost😣

Will it hurt to run the 1520 1650kv on my K6S? The website says it’s intended for the K6S but I read a lot on a post saying the 1717 is a better option.

what is the differences btw the 1717 1650kv vs the 1717 1260Kv? what would perform better in my traxxas XRT just for bashing not really go to crazy fast. the 1260kv would provide more Torque? Thanks in advance

What would you recommend for an esc/motor combo for a Fireteam? Looking to stay 6s, at least at first, and mostly speed bashing in the dirt. No huge jumps.

Bought a kraton from you 2 weeks ago going to need to come in maybe next week for some kind or motor esc and servo upgrade but i love the car cant wait to see its potential
