Shoot a Music Video with a DSLR (or Mirrorless) - OnSet ep. 11

I wanted more of an explanation of the audio chain, since this was a MUSIC video shoot...,I know photographers aren't always musicians, I mean it's unlikely, right? sooo...,it would be nice to hear from an audio person how to optimize the sound quality. First of all, does anyone run an audio chain back into the DSLR instead of keeping it outboard...? Are there any fans of Rode mics being used on a boom but still running back into the camera? Other than that this is a GREAT tutorial.

Hi Daniel, this is a great video. I am in a process to purchase a Video Camera to shoot music videos, and I was wondering what is recommendation on specific DSLR camera with some specific lighting. I use Sony Vegas Video editing tool. Do you recommend other editing tool that will give me a professional look and feel.
