This is my favorite Johnny Duncan song. Sadly, very underrated singer. He belongs in Country Music Hall of Fame if he isn't.

WMUS got tired of me calling at 2 AM in the morning almost every night. Was working 3rd shift hours at Muskegon Business College as a janitor and would call in to hear Jo and the Cowboy almost every night. It got to the point they knew my name and what song. There were some times when they even played it for me when I did not have time to call in. So thanks J. W. and Johnny and Janie some wonderful memories.

Good stuff. This new country is noise at best.

the bill Mac show wbap??? Dallas/ft. worth. for all those late night C.B. truckers. Johnny Duncan, Dublin, TEXAS!!! small town...lot of hospitality...my mom and dad grew up there, got married there(1948) ..I was born (1950) couple miles over in Stephenville..mom and dad moved to Dallas couple of years later for bigger job field..stayed in Dallas suberb of Garland until retirement moved them back to Dublin in 1992..dad died of Alzheimer's in 2005 ...mom made the helicopter care flights twice to ft. worth and Dallas with heart attacks and still lives in Dublin..Johnny Duncan was care flighted to ft. worth with a heart attack only he did not survive..and with that I will say both mom and dad were so proud that Johnny Duncan hailed from Dublin also!! thanks for the MUSIC and the many happy memories..and mom misses my dad awfully bad!!(along with all the kids and grand and great grand kids...
