If you do not need 3d, the new 2ds is remarkably lighter and smaller than the new 3ds

Weight feels almost double with 3d and after using it for a while you probably turn it off anyway.

But the 3d effect is fuken cool and I am a grown man with no spaghetti-arms, so I have a new 3ds naturally :D (it still weights a lot if you play in bed holding your arms up. I put a pillow between my body and the device, so the pillow takes most of the weight. I do not feel so strong in that situation :D

My sons N2DS is so much lighter and portable tough.

N3DS if you want all there is. N2DS if you do not want 3d. IMO.

i got a new nintendo 3ds a few months ago, really good tbh never had any other besides the nintendo switch

i own an original 3DS from days after launch and a new 3DS XL from 2018, i would personally get the new 3DS or new 3DS XL as when modded, you can manually speed up the processor to get those good loading times & performance boosts everywhere. plus it lets you run PS1 games (very poorly) and lets you use microSD cards instead of SD cards.

The 3ds is so expensive these days your best bet is to just find any used one that had screen protectors on it. Otherwise you will most likely be buying a 3ds with a whole bunch of scratches on the screens.

I have an old 3DS and a New 3DS XL. I feel like the old model has a very very small screen, it's really uncomfortable to focus on it for hours, so I play on my XL. But I was wondering, is the regular New 3DS screen increased size enough to lower people's eye strains? Or it's insignificant?

If your planning on attempting to add Homebrew Know I did it to mine recently and theirs an absolutly Shit webshop. The only reason youd truly want to do this is to Pirate games Inititatly for 3DS and earlier Nintendo games. Speaking for as some that have Installed those Files themselves the programers have an eye at hinting a sence of humor that not only Puts your 3DS at risk but any devices/Networks you used to Install with it. Then theirs the Risk in actually looking for the Games you want to pirate and play that while your consol does have an active WIFI Connection before And After Complete Installation, It only takes a single finger of Objection to slam 200-2000$ worth of hardware and connection Risks.

I actually love the original 3ds but they break constantly for no reason I used to repair phones for a living and the original 3ds is impossible unless your willing to replace the motherboard. For the sake of long term usage steer clear

I’d go with the 2ds if it was more portable. The other consoles are easier to fit into your pocket

Get an OG 2DS I just got it and it’s the most comfortable handheld from Nintendo for any hand size I played for about 5 hours straight the other day and my hands felt fine

The 2ds is still probably my favorite console at the time mainly because of the ergonomics feel more like the modern switch, but if I had the money Id get a purple 2ds xl with a comfort grip

I had a 3DS I bought at release, sold it, then I won a 3DS XL in a contest, sold it, eventually I got a new 3DS non XL, modded it, and never went back. It is portable, durable, perfect to mod, and perfect to play. Only drawback is you have to unscrew the backplate to access your micro sd card but you can transfer games wirelessly with a bit of savviness. You can even make your own custom themes.

I just got a original 3DS today for free from my cousin because he wanted to sell it. Time to add it to my N64, PSP, PS3, PS4, SEGA Genesis and GameCube collection .
