Are you sure that the images of the old landslide are from the one that happened in 1984? It could be from the one that happened in the last 10 years or so.

ISRO can't able to provide scan and monitor those areas and bulk water resources can determined and inform to public earlier before such incidents to prevent such huge human life???? if any one look at google map they can see that top the hill is shaped like bowl, and already there is a land slide mark from the center of it. so its a high risk area, and nobody done anything to save those small kids.

the next disaster is mullaperiyar, the Mullaperiyar is on the edge; that disaster will be 500 times bigger than this. All of you will lose everything, so please make a big push. Now is no time to build a new dam; at least do an evacuation study and water flow/ flood risk analysis study and make a proper evacuation plan for from places 30 km away from the Idukki/Mullaperiyar dam and make sure all river, canals reaching the sea will be cleared so water flow can't interfere too much so water flow diversion can be limited. We can’t throw our little kids to the mouth of death. Please raise your voice so our kids can dream for the future and stay alive. wayanad landslide happened because of full of ignorance, now no point on talking on that.
