Thanks for sharing this work with us. I grew up out there, but now I'm stuck shooting all my film in the midwest. Keep shooting, it looks great!

I really really really recommend getting a 2 or even 3 stop gradient neutral density filter. Soft transition filters are good, but even hard transition filters are much better than nothing. It saves so many film photos that would otherwise have blown-out skies. The most flexible are the rectangular filters that can be slid to darken a selected fraction of the frame, but even a circular one that has the gradient in half the frame works great 90% of the time.

How do you keep the film from color shifting due to heat on these trips? Surely you don't lug a cooler with ice everytime? And if so, doesn't the ice melt?

Brae I was wondering if using any sort of filter would bring down the harsh highlights? Cause sometimes the time to capture images especially during a hike is limited (consider time hiking down, getting to certain location etc.)

Love the videos man, I recently came across your channel a few weeks ago and I completely stopped watching netflix/primevideo lol! I just pop on a few of your videos instead, they are really inspiring. Showed my twin brother and he is hooked now too lmao. Every time I watch one, I want to plan a trip/hike and disconnect from the daily flow and go shoot. I remember in your q & a you said Banff Alberta is one of your dream places to shoot and I'm blessed to be only 3 hours away, I will be heading there with the bro this summer to shoot a bunch of rolls thanks to your videos. Would love to see the images you'd create up here, if your ever up here once covid is handled don't hesitate to hit us up, the twin bro and I would love to kick it and shoot some photos. And btw, the images in this video were surreal. Will definitely be snagging some prints.

WOW I absolutely adore the feel of all the film photos, is it possible to achieve images like these with more budget film SLRs? The Pentax is going for around £600 pounds here in the UK. And if so, could anyone recommend me a good budget film camera to start out with to get landscape photos?

You ought to use graduated neutral density filters to hold back those bright skies while properly exposing the darker areas.

I really like your videos. Keep the content coming 😁

Opinion: I don’t like how the music is at a different volume than your voice. I have to turn up the volume when you talk and then the loud music sets in 😅 if the music was as soft as your voice, this would be a very chill video.

The videos are great regardless! :)

Gosh I'll tell ya what. I've lived on Hawaii, "oahu" for almost 3 years and Getting ready to move back to the mainland heading to Colorado in March 2021 and I just can not wait to leave Hawaii. It sure has it's charm and majestic feel to it, the sunsets and ocean is great, however it sure makes you feel small compared to the rest of the US or world. Feeling trapped in a way and sort of "I've explored it all sense" I can't wait to get out to the wilderness and explore and hopefully reignite my photography. Def feel that I've been not inspired as of the last few months.

EDIT: finding this channel is def inspiration though. It's crazy. I've been into photography for over 10 years since 2004 and it's great to constantly learn and get inspiration from others. I shoot with a 500CM for film but I'm just LOVEING the Pentax 67 form factor and feel I get from viewing the images in that format. Just magical... Now I'm looking on Ebay for my 67 :)
