I only heard this song done by Maureen McCormick and Christopher knight of the Brady Bunch and this is very different but good.
Ответитьwhy do i feel that lady gaga (having an appreciation for olden day music) was inspired by this? :) RIP Davy Jones
ОтветитьYes, it is! Wonderful!
ОтветитьThank you! I look forward to chatting with you!
ОтветитьI had no idea that recording was even available, so when I found it on Amazon. I knew that I had to have it. Thank you for the contact invite, although saying ''friend invite'' is perfectly fine, too. You're very welcome! How interesting that our birthdays are only 2 weeks apart! Thank you, too, for the birhday greetings! I really appreciate it!
Ответить''Pool It'' has some great material on it. It's not a recording that you hear about much these days, but it's still great. I'm actually trying to buy all of the Davy Jones material that I can get my hands on. In fact, I just bought ''David Jones'' [The Remastered Edition], a collection of songs that Davy did in 1965, before he became a Monkee. It's good, especially if you're a devoted DJ fan, as I have been since I was 3. HAPPY early] BIRTHDAY! I'll be 49 on April 17th.
ОтветитьFantastic! I'm glad that you bought both of them. I actually have ''Pool It'' on vinyl and it's very good! The cover photo is nice, too! Happy listening!!
ОтветитьYou Tube has posted all sorts of Monkees videos, andI'm sure that I saw the video for ''A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You'' among them. Try looking there.
ОтветитьHe cetainly was! Davy was and still is my favorite! Thank you for giving me so much joy! I'll love you always, Sweet Angel!
ОтветитьI certainly agree!
ОтветитьI hope that you buy it! Enjoy!
ОтветитьThe album is available in CD form on amazon.com.
ОтветитьThey certainly were! I miss songs like this one!
ОтветитьI love this, as well as all of the other videos. I have been a fan of Davy Jones since 1966, and lately it seems that I can't enough of Davy or his music. THANKS!
Ответитьi wish he sang that to me
ОтветитьOh my gosh, I was trying to figure out where I've heard this song - believe it or not, I have it by The Brady Bunch (on a CD I have of them) ha ha!
ОтветитьSongs where so nice then. The Monkees did alot to add to those good songs.
Ответитьwhat a sweet boy <3
Ответитьgreat singer r i p
ОтветитьR.I.P. Davy
Ответить@watchful38 i do agree with you. I think Garden Party by Ricky Nelson was very truthful about his career. We loose too many too soon. The Monkees with exception of Nesmith are still touring. They were recently in Vancouver, BC last year or year before for PNE anniversary. i missed them, so mad about that.
Ответить@trelayna Thanks for the info re Mike Nesmith. At 72, I always ask myself when watching these groups from the fifties and sixties especially, "Where are these young people now?" It's not a bad idea to say a prayer for one or other of them. Life is not "a rose garden" everyday. For me, listening to Ricky Nelson is always tinged with a sadness and compassion for his difficult life.
Ответить@watchful38 Mike Nesmith's mother invented White Out, the "serious" Monkee
ОтветитьGRRROOOOOVVYYY!!!
ОтветитьThe "Tambourine Man" Davy Jones. It's only recently watching You Tube for the first time that I discovered the Monkees. A retired Catholic priest in Canada. My fav: "I'm A Believer" where Davy does the tambourine! One comment was: "The guy with the tambourine will get the chicks." I got a chuckle out of that comment! Was it Davy's mother who invented "White Out" and made a fortune? Maybe it was another Monkee's mother.
Ответить@JensKristianDavidsen He said so in his autobiography - "They Made a Monkee Out of Me".

ОтветитьI had this album. I gave it away a few years ago with the rest of my vinyl. Who knew vinyl was going to come back...a bit, anyway. Cute songs. He hates this album though. Nice for the rest of us. :)
ОтветитьThis could have been a great track for the monkees to record if they had stayed together into the early 1970s. Thanks for posting it.
ОтветитьI forgot about this song. Thanks again for the nice memories!
