Don't Worry, We're also tired in Spain of this banks, nepotism in politics, and bureaucracy of the system, overall. Responsibles of that must have gone fully blind to continue these obscenely annoying mistakes across decades until now...😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

It's either the game of pretend that you want to play or the game of responsibility. If it's the game of pretend, then you will use the brutal racism rhetoric to help out the people who want to dominate the whole world and then some. If it's the game of responsibility, then you would never use that word, helping out those in your own community and limiting the power of the freaks who want to dominate the whole world. That's as concise a description of what we have to deal with as you'll ever find, with regards to the vast differences between people - I hope people will choose responsibility, that's the only way we can have a just social ethical standard scaled up to the whole world.

Restricting the right to vote in national elections to citizens is the norm through the world. You are however right in complaining that Spain has too strict requirements on dual citizenship. There is no reason to require people to renounce their original nationality.

I think you could have deepened a bit more your analysis of 'casual racism', it's still an embarrassing issue around here... and I totally agree on the mistrust between employer and employees... although I've felt that with my former British employer (who also made some racist comments and assumptions about my being Spanish).

Have you ever thought of making a video about our national luck of self-esteem and how it does permeate our relationships with people from 'more developed' countries and from 'underdeveloped' ones (spoiler: racism)? Perhaps you have it already... but it's a big one!

I wouldnt have ever thought about it but conisdering the situation in Europe in last years, it acutally would make a lot of sense to let people keep their old citizienship. By that it makes it much easier to rennounce their new citizenship and deport them in case they commit crimes.

1) I don't remember ever eating asparagus on Xmas the first 25 years of my life in Spain.
2) I am Spanish, I have lived in the UK for nearly 3 decades... and I can't vote in the general elections either. Did you expect a special treatment for being a Kiwi?
3) I don't drink coffee, but I see most Spaniards complaining about the quality of coffee in the UK and US (no idea about NZ). I wonder who's right.

I loved living in Spain too, and think it's fine to criticize things about it, because they certainly do. Although I am grateful to Spain because of the Catholic religion their ancestors brought to our land and the Spanish foods which taste great, I don't like the attitudes of the people of present Spain. The things your brought out except the racism part are minor and cultural things which you have to deal with. Spanish people are racist in a sense that because they are always poorer to the northern part of Europe, they have counter this inferiority by putting down other people especially like tourists or even locals who came from Asia.
